It doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi Bluetooth Apple CarPlay or anything automatically then sometimes when I do it manually it takes almost 3 minutes to connect to my phone trash!!

Style: 2014-2019 Size: Mark 6 8+256GB
This a definitely an upgrade to the stock system of the Infinity Q50/Q60. I installed mine in a 2017 Q60s. The screen is very nice and it fits perfectly into the stock system location. Installation is not too difficult and there are some youtube videos to assist you with the install. I like that this unit is android and just about any app from the play store can be installed and work. The screen is great even with off center viewing from the seats. It is difficult to see while wearing polarized sunglasses, but if you lean a little to get a centered view, the screen is viewable. I've only had this for a month, so some of the negatives may be just because I haven't figured things out yet. If you have solutions to my negatives, please speak up. The radio remains with the stock system, so there is no software version on the unit (as a side note, there is no antenna jack on the Aucar unit). What I don't like is that if you want sound from the Aucar unit, the sound source needs to be switched to AUX as all apps installed on the unit use that source, but the radio uses the AM/FM/SXM source. So, if you're listening to the radio you will not hear direction prompts from whatever app you use for maps. I does not switch back and forth automatically. It you are listening to tunein or some other app source you're okay, but not with the OEM radio. I assume it would be the same situation if you use bluetooth music from your phone. Another thing is, when I start the car up I never know what will be presented on the screen. Will it be the climate control, the built in launcher, or something else? Also the screen may change when the cameras pop up from reverse or the sensing of some obstruction. Sometimes the radio will switch to AUX during the camera popups. I also had issues with the included music app that would not play music from the units memory. When it did play, if I tried to switch to next song, it started flipping through all the songs one after another without playing them. I just downloaded a different app from the playstore and it works fine. I'm guessing that it's difficult to integrate the OEM systems with an aftermarket unit and keep all the features, so I'm trying not to be too hard on the unit. But, the unit is a little buggy and I'm hoping for an update to cure some of the issues. In summary, I'm happy with the unit. Not "very" happy, but I'm willing to put up with a few issues for the versatility that I've gained with the unit. With familiarity over time, you can implement work arounds. I wish I had access to the "factory settings" that require a pass code as I think I could possibly get some of the issues resolved. Anyone know what the pass code is? I've tried dozens of codes I've found on youtube and other articles, but none have worked. Another solution might be the Sergey firmware (google it) that is available for the Mark 5 but not yet available for the Mark 6. ... show more
