I bought this to replace the ATOTO that was 100% touch, no buttons. I realized after installing, there is was no SD card slot, no extra USB port, both allowing for extra ways to listen to your music, and if you're big into music like i am... you really do want the radio with the buttons since it has the SD slot, USB slot, etc. So i bought this one, and I'm a lot happier! The install was very straight forward. The color coding of their supplied wiring harness matched my 2004 Pontiac Vibe, perfectly. I spent about an hour removing the Sony radio i had in there and putting in the harness for this radio. very straight forward. I'm very happy. I like too that i can put in a rear (or front) camera if i want. The sound quality is OK. It's not as good as the Sony. There is no LOUDNESS button/option. There is no EXTRA BASE 1, 2 or 3 button/option. Changing the equalizer from rock to pop to custom, etc... it's several buttons, vs 1 touch stop. So that could be better too. Because of these things... music is a bit "tinny". That's how i put it. But i like the radio a lot. I think it's great value for the money. If they can add Loudness and Extra Base in a firmware update... this can become a GREAT RADIO. Increasing the power a hair, would also be nice. Say... 40W/channel vs. 25. This radio is so amazingly small... there is plenty of room for ATOTO to add just a little extra power! I also love the wireless Android Auto. I have a high end Kenwood in my other car and it requires me to plug in. But this ATOTO... 100% wireless. I LOVE IT! I can use google maps, waze or whatever i want. I can also use my other streaming apps... Audacy, Audible, Amazon/Google Music and a lot more. I can even get the weather. It also has Hands Free for making calls. I have not tried switching apps or options via voice like switching stations on the radio, or switching from radio to USB for music, etc. So i can't comment on that. I'm hopeful. One thing ATOTO could do better... explaining how to update their firmware. I simply cannot figure out how to update the firmware. I emailed support but didn't hear back. blah. I would buy this again. For sure. My son is looking for a decent radio for his car... and i would get this for sure. His car is even older than mine, his is a 2002 Buick Century... but unlike my car, his has steering wheel controls, and this ATOTO has wires in the supplied wiring harness for steering wheels functions.     • Great budget wireless Android Auto and Apple Car play unit
Overall I give this 5 stars because when it is on sale at $129 it is honestly a great value and I can easily live with the cons in my list at that price. If you use it exclusively for Android Auto or Apple Car play you won't be impacted by the cons at all other than the boot time, which is not necessarily that far out of line with some other units. You basically have to pay more than double that price to get even close to similar features in a more known brand unit and they will still have some less that ideal functionality too. Ideally Atoto would either open source the software or make more frequent firmware updates to improve the overall software functionality of the minor issues noted in my cons. Pros: Wired and Wireless Android auto and Car play, both work great and exactly as expected, bright screen, lots of features built in. Screen is responsive (not high end phone responsive) but similar to other car UI screens. Cons: Unit boot time once you start the car is about 15-20 seconds which isn't terrible but feels a long sometimes. Android Auto takes an additional 15 seconds or so on top of that, but Apple Car Play seems faster. I experienced some stability issues playing music back from the USB thumb drive on start up although I am not sure if that is the unit or the thumb drive but the unit will occasionally reboot once or twice when I start the car with the thumb drive in before playing the music from it. It is stable and works great once it boots though. I have not experienced that at all when playing music back from the SD card. The SD card playback is very stable and consistent on startup however if I use the shuffle/random play option with my music it will not remember that setting when I shut off the car (although it does remember setting that when using that option from USB.) ... show more

    • Great for price
For its price this is a very great headunit. Instructions are very limited, but it’s fairly easy how to intuit what to do. The wires are labeled which is very helpful. The unit itself is okay. There’s about a 400ms delay with clicks on the touchscreen. Audio is pretty flat but the eq helps a lot; audio itself is clear and crisp. The display looks and seems high quality, it gets bright and it’s high res. My one gripe is the carplay and USB. First the usb port comes from the back, which makes installation a little annoying because you have to route to wire. The carplay does not work with USB, but it does charge. Maybe it’s my cable, but I’ve tried three already. Bluetooth carplay works fine. There’s some latency with it, but it’s bearable. Connection with bluetooth is about <5 seconds of starting the car. Honestly for the price, this unit is amazing ... show more
