These Atkins protein drinks are really good on the go. When I am running late and can't stop for lunch, I grab one of these to tide me over. They are low carb and low sugar, and I appreciate that. There are two cons. First, the vanilla flavor comes in a larger size than the other flavors. That's great if I am at home and can throw the rest of it in the refrigerator. Not so great on the road when I have to toss some of it because it will go bad before I get to a refrigerator. That's like throwing away money. The second con is a personal preference for something less sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I often cut the vanilla shake with milk or coffee or even chai tea to take away some of the sweet. Of course that also reduces the protein per ounce, but it makes them more palatable to me. My favorite is their coffee latte flavor, but they have caffeine and after about 2:00 in the afternoon, vanilla is my preference.

it is fine but I like the Gold brand better which has more of a vanilla punch

I don't get enough protein in my diet as a lacto-ovo pescatarian (vegetarian that eats dairy and fish) as I limit my fish intake to three times a week only so I don't get as much mercury as a thermometer. My doctor implored me to start drinking a high protein supplement when taking my medication and for a snack as I had also limited my dairy due to high sodium. I did a price check and these are the most affordable protein supplement per fluid ounce. There's more in a container, so I not only have enough to take all my medications, but enough for a snack mid-morning. The vanilla taste is creamy, tasty, and doesn't leave a sour or oily taste to your mouth later like I experienced with other protein supplements. I also like that they are low-glycemic index, meaning my blood glucose doesn't rocket up after drinking.

My daughter is autistic and a very picky eater. These are quality protein shakes and provide the nutrients she lacks from not wanting to eat much food. They are such a better price on here as opposed to the store. They taste good. I highly recommend them.
