This whey protein has been a staple in my routine for months. The Chocolate Coconut flavor is a nice change from the usual chocolate—sweet but not overwhelming. Chocolate malt was not available when I needed to re-order so I took a chance on Chocolate Coconut. I don’t dislike it but it is a very mild chocolate flavor with almost no coconut accent. I’m still pleased with the quality optimum nutrition provides in their whey protein so I will continue ordering. I mix it with almond milk and a single serving of yogurt. It dissolves well. It is never gritty or clumpy. It keeps me full for about three hours and has never given me any G.I. issues. I only wish there were smaller sample sizes to try before investing $85 in a drum of protein ... show more

I've been using Optimum Nutrition's GOLD STANDARD 100% WHEY for 20 years. There are very few brands of protein supplements that I will use and recommend. Optimum nutrition was one of the first companies I knew of in the supplement industry that, as a SOP, invested in off-site, third party quality audits/testing to ensure that the sorced ingredients were safe, met rigorous quality standards...ingredients in the proper ratios, etc The Gold Standard 100% Whey line has always been a top quality protein supplement with the ingredients on the label contained in the product. I'm of the belief that consistency, dependability of quality the supplements that I consume comes first. This is what substantiates the value in the product. ONGSW is one of the more expensive products available but, when you consider the level of quality that ON has consistently produced for decades with this product the value speaks for itself.
