Balanced nutrition and good flavor compared to other meal replacement drinks. With the new bottle, it seems there is a new recipe, which I like so much better than the original. Tastes a little like cake batter, esp if you add milk.

I really enjoy OWYN plant-based protein shakes. The taste is smooth and not too sweet, and each shake provides 20g of vegan protein with all essential amino acids. I love that it’s free from dairy, gluten, soy, and artificial ingredients. A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and nutrition. Highly recommend!

I have been drinking protein shakes for years now and have tried all different brands. I chose this one because it is Vegan with no dairy and had lower potassium for my needs. First off, Yes, these are a plant based shake so i would say its an acquired taste, but i do not think its at all horrible. It is sweet tasting, but that is probably to help with the plant based taste in these. All the Vegan shakes i have noticed have that distinct plant type taste, but i do not think its horrible, but others might not like it, i think it is all just due to your preference. I wish these would go on sale more often, but i am pretty stocked up on these shakes and will most likely continue to buy them. Thank you for reading my review and i hope that this helps you decide.

The chocolate and vanilla are both pretty good tasting and are easy on the digestion. However, the company is not forthcoming about providing information about lead and mercury content of each product. The has been many news articles and stories about heavy metals in pea protein. Companies would find it beneficial to post the results for each product so consumers can make informed decisions. Other companies have published their results from third party testing. When asked about these metals OWYN gave a generic reply and refused to provide the results. OWYN had lawsuit filed against them in August 2025 because of their high levels of lead in their products. DO NOT BUY!

Love using these as my cereal milk instead of regular almond milk for when I have cereal to add extra protein. The vanilla did taste sweet as though there was added sugar, but I was surprised to see it had none! I think I prefer the chocolate a little over the vanilla as the “sweet” taste isn’t as prevalent. I also used these to make ninja creamis and they turned out so creamy and decadent! I wished this version would also come out in a strawberry flavor!

I bought these because fair life rarely offers their vanilla flavor, protein drink anymore. These are good, but they do have a chalky taste, unlike fairlife, which is hands-down, the best protein drink on the market. It has zero chalk taste.
