I was not disappointed with this purchase at all. I was a little surprised that it wasn't wood, as I did not fully read the listing, but honestly it's even better this way. The pieces are all very lightweight but the base is sturdy and I've had no issues with the overall structure of the lamp. The assembly was super easy and the instructions were well written. It only took my mother and I about 30 minutes to unpack and assemble. You'll need a regular screwdriver for the screws at the top and bottom of the lamp, which is not included, but the rest of the pieces all twist together without need for any tools. The drawers seem to slide easily enough, but the tracks are just plastic so I wouldn't recommend using them too frequently. I plan to just use them for storing unneeded charging cables and desk items so I foresee no issues with that. The lamp shade was easy to assemble as well and seems like it will hold up for quite a while. The included lightbulb is a lovely soft yellow light which matches the tone of this this piece of furniture very well. The pull chain works very smoothly and there is no awkward tension against the panel it passes through when pulling on the chain. Overall I would definitely recommend this lamp if you're looking for a new addition to your furniture collection that is both easy to assemble and will be easy to keep clean. ... show more

This beautiful lamp was very easy to assemble. It took me a little over 30 mins to complete. The smart bulb that was included did not work so I had to use a regular bulb. That wasn't a deal breaker though. I love this so much that I'm thinking about getting another one.

It went together easy except for the shade, which was tricky to square. I bent it too much, now it has a "kink" and doesn't fit perfect. Overall though this lamp is great, sturdy and meets our needs. I used an LED equivalent 100w bulb and works perfect.

Easy to assemble and looks good. It's pretty tall and skinny so I would suggest putting it in a location it won't get bumped. Color was good and no scratches or nicks.

For the price, this is a good deal. I'm not a handyman-type person and it took me about 35-40 minutes to put together. I didn't hurry through it. I read the instructions in advance and took my time. Don't overtighten the posts when you are screwing them on. The cord hides well. The cords showing in my photos are cable cords and not the lamp cord. I'm super happy with this purchase. I consider it sturdy based on proper use. If you don't overload the shelves, you should have no problem with its sturdiness.
