Pros: —appreciate the visible woodgrain —liked that it came with plexiglass rather than actual glass, since I'm a klutz and drop things all the time —appreciate that the wood joins on the corners are pretty tidy! —liked that the plexiglass had films on both sides to protect it from scratches —convenient that it already has holders on the back for both horizontal and vertical hanging —the little backing clips on the frame's reverse that hold the rear panel on are THE EASIEST out of hundreds of frames I've used! Sometimes frames will have very clips that are painful to use, but these are a wonderful design that makes changing out an image very, very easy! —I appreciated that it's a minimalist frame. It puts all the attention on the subject matter inside! Cons: —more pungent than I expected: a wood smell which I expected, but also a chemical smell (maybe the plexiglass?) —the plexiglass is REALLY thin! So you have to be careful not to put dents in it as you peel off the protective films —I hadn't thought ahead that once I peeled the plastic protective films off of both sides of the plexiglass it would have quite a static charge! It seemed to suck all the dust out of the air instantly. I didn't want to use a damp cloth because my hard water here leaves watermarks. So I used compressed air to dust it and was successful. The whole thing wasn't a huge problem, but I want you to not be surprised like I was. :) Final thoughts: I ended up framing a piece of peel and stick wallpaper which I adhered to heavy watercolor paper. I really like how it turned out, and it inspired me to make a little decor vignette. I'm considering ordering other sizes of these same frames because I'm happy with the one I have.

In the end this frame looks pretty nice with the print I installed in it. Installation was easy and I had no issues. The frame itself is solid wood and has a nice finish and attractive grain. The clips holding everything in the frame are lightweight but work fine. I was surprised at the thinness of the plexiglass sheet. I realize now that this information is included in the description (1.5mm thick polystyrene sheet) so it's on me for not paying attention to that detail. In the end though I think it looks great and I'm hoping that it is indeed scratch resistant. The thin sheet definitely contributes to the minimal weight. Overall I recommend this product assuming the plexiglass sheet is durable over time.

This wooden frame is quite nice and very sturdy. It was easy to get open and fill up with the poster I put inside of it. It was nicely packaged so there was no damage in transport. I actually like the plain wood frame that isn't stained. I might actually decorate it in the future. For right now I'll be leaving it natural. Would order again! it's a nice size and very useful for my smaller posters.

I was curious about the plexiglass in these frames and that is why I got these. I was pleasantly surprised at how great it actually looks. The plexiglass is protected on both sides, so you have to remove the protective film. Once that is done, no one will ever know that it is not real glass. It is nice to have that option for several reasons. If you drop it, the glass won't break, and it keeps the frames lightweight. Other than that cool feature, the wood is a nice color and put together nicely. Overall, a pretty decent frame.

I chose the 16x20 size and am happy with how my picture looks in this frame. The frame is what I would describe as a fairly light colored wood (it is made of real wood) with medium colored grain lines. I like the clean lines of this frame; it looks modern and really lets your artwork be the star. Instead of real glass, this frame uses plexi-glass which is a bit on the thin side; at first I was worried that it wouldn't look nice, but the plexi-glass is super clear and glossy (once the protective covers are removed), and once installed it looks just like glass -- no one can tell by looking that it's plexiglass. The plexiglass helps the frame stay lightweight, which is helpful since a frame this large can get rather heavy. Because it's lightweight, that makes it easy to hang since no special hardware or wall prep is required. The frame has a sturdy backboard that is held in place with clips that slide into a groove on the back of the frame. It was easy to remove the backboard to install my pciture, and was also easy to close it all up again for hanging. Both a vertical and a horizontal hanger are pre-installed on the backboard, which is a nice touch. Overall a nice-looking, modern frame with clean lines. It is basic but sturdy, and is easy to load pictures into. For such a large frame it is lightweight and a moderately priced.

I like this frame. I used it to frame the poster that was used for my first comedy show! You can smell the natural wood when you open it The only gripe I have is the plastic is kind of cloudy. When you first get it. It has a plastic cover you peel off the plastic, leading me to believe the plastic likely scratches easily. It is not glass.
