I love this thing. So do my kids. Picture quality is amazing. It’s super bright. Super portable. And sound quality is decently good. The menus and the android box seems fast and snappy. It performs well even in light rooms. Worth the cost. My only nitpick is that the battery doesn’t last nearly as long as advertised unless you lower the brightness to something really dim. Other than that, it’s great.

The key feature is that a single charge allows you to watch a movie for up to 3.5 hours, making it perfect for outdoor activities. Most importantly, it has an automatic focus function that adjusts the best picture quality and angle, saving a lot of setup time. This projector does a great job of sending a picture to a screen... When it decides it wants to do what you're trying to do. The projector and the android box that control it are two separate devices, and the remote can only control one at a time. It's a miserable existence to try to watch anything. The second day of use is now complicated by the projector shutting off randomly, about every 10-15 minutes. I hate this projector. It's even worse because ASUS has absolutely ZERO customer support for it. Their website will sell you one, but does not recognize this model for any customer support. DO NOT EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM THE MANUFACTURER!! I regret buying this projector, and recommend nobody else suffer the same misery.

For such an expensive device I wanted the video quality to work but it couldn’t do even general details. It really blurred any fine or moderate level of detail (text/subtitles were illegible). I am ended up buying a completely different brand but similarly priced projector and returning this one. In a side by side comparison though, it was night and day. The color of this Asus projector and the sharpness of image and detail were all lesser than the Optoma projector I ended up buying

I love this projector with some concerns. For the money, this is better in my bedroom than a huge tv could ever be. Keystone and autofocus work well. Setup was easy. Speakers are decent but a Bluetooth speaker can significantly improve the sound. Fan noise is moderate. The included Hako Mini Android TV dongle sucks. First, Plex and Jellyfin had no sound with movies. This may be the L2’s issue but my Firestick worked perfectly. My main concern was that the Hako set off my OPNsense firewall. It was constantly trying to send data to unknown IP addresses. My Apple devices started prompting me for password resets. I’m sticking with my Firestick 4K Max although I wish I could fit it inside the unit like Asus did for the Hako Mini. Once I reset and disabled the Hako, the Apple password reset requests stopped. Coincidence? Who knows?
