This protection is a must when purchasing a Krups Kettle. I like this kettle and I bought it three times in a row. Unfortunately, the first two did not last long. The very first one died when it was almost two years old, still under manufacturer's warranty. I tried to contact Krups, they made the repair process complicated and expensive (shipping), thus rendering the repair almost useless compared to purchasing a new device. At that time, three years ago, this kettle was sold under $50, and I bought it again but this time, along with Asurion insurance for 4 years. This second kettle worked very well for two years, but then it started to show some malfunction signs and finally died. I contacted Asurion, and their response was immediate: Here is the free shipping label, drop the package at UPS shop, and we refund your purchase, period. No arguing, no conditions, no hassle whatsoever. Knowing that my $46 will be refunded, I packed the old kettle, dropped it at Staples and indeed, next day my gift card was uploaded in my Amazon account. The whole return process did not cost me a penny. Could it be better? I doubt it. Asurion provided excellent service, held their promise to the "t". Needless to say, I immediately bought the third Krups kettle on Amazon, again backed by Asurion warranty. Asurion brings now even more value than before, due to 50% higher price I paid for the kettle now. I am very satisfied with the Asurion service. I buy it with many goods here on Amazon if it is offered. Thank you Asurion!

Blendjet for smoothies. Wonderful device when it works. Sadly, my third purchase. First one lasted 3 years and then it was recalled for defective fire hazard potential (I sent it back even though it was still working). Second one stopped charging about 18 months after purchase. And third one after 2 months, stopped charging. I won't buy anymore even though the price is very reasonable, even if it lasts only a year, but 2 months was rather unreasonable.

I currently have an issue with a pressure cooker I bought where the lid will not close and it's defective I try to get a hold of this protection plan that I paid for $8.99 and I can't get a hold of anyone.

Decided to get the 4 year protection plan on my griddle. After 3 years, when the non-stick surface was no longer non-stick, they emailed me a shipping label, and I was given a full refund of the purchase price. No hassle, and I got my refund the very day I dropped the package off at UPS. Highly recommend!

I haven't had to make a claim with this policy thats on my vacuum sealer for food yet though I had another policy on a solar panel ,I had to use it and they were wonderful, I had no problems with them refunding my payment back to Amazon so I could purchase another panel , so when I bought this Vacuum sealer it was a no brainer about getting the Asurion policy just in case something happens, better to be safe than sorry, I would recommend Asurion to anyone, it's well worth the price, delivered to your email address, and saves the worrying and hassle, just in case something happens...thank you Asurion and Amazon

I'll give five stars but the email was for some reason lost in my Spam folder. You also have to be careful with inputting the code correctly, as there are two different ones within the email, so there are hoops. That said, it does give you your money back eventually. So...this is five stars for me in 2025.
