The most difficult part of the claim process was for me to remember that I had purchased the insurance for the coffee maker when originally purchased. The claim process was easy. And while the initial instructions indicated I'd have to return the product before getting my refund, I then received a refund the next day - so assuming they don't want my broken coffee maker after all!?

Back in early 2018, I bought a NutriBullet blender and have used it pretty much every day since, mainly to make my breakfast shake. I also purchased a four year plan with Asurion. On 8-26 this year, I fill up the carafe with ingredients and it blends up just fine. The next day I fill up the carafe, put it on the motor base and....nothing. I tried three other outlets with the same result. I wound up using my Oster 16 speed blender. I looked up my protection plan in my order history, contacted them and started the claim process. They sent me an email within two days with a few options; I chose the first option, which was I could keep the item and get a check mailed to me that was a little less than the original purchase price. I checked on Amazon, the similar model, 600W, was now $2 less than the check they offered; seemed like a good deal. This will be my third NutriBullet, I love these things, but they only last so long. I think my first one lasted a bit longer, but I bought it at a different store and wasn't offered an extended warranty. I've gone ahead and bought the latest version of the NutriBullet AND I purchased another extended warranty from Asurion; well worth the $10.

It took me 2 days & hours from my life when I tried to initially call Amazon about how to use my warranty. But after being disconnected several times & promised help that didn’t come I finally put on my smart hat & googled how to contact Asurian. Once I did that, I found their website as slick as snot & saw that I had 2 warranties with them for Amazon purchases (a little creepy as I didn’t know that I had opted to “give” them that level of knowledge about me), I clicked on the link for the broken product & within 2 days I was issued a gift certificate on Amazon. So, also be aware of what you’re getting. You are probably not getting a broken item fixed, nor are you simply getting your broken item fixed - maybe it changes in different cases? I don’t know. But I was personally given a gift certificate for Amazon that I could use anyway I wanted to, that said I wanted the thing that broke - in my case a juicer. The prices of juicers have gone up since I purchased that one & as the gift certificate was for the price of purchase at the time, in the end I had to pay more. It was still worth it for me. That said, when I was offered an Asurian warranty on the new juicer it was also for $1/more & it covered it for one less year.

Any time I purchase a product that I will be using frequently or that is expensive, I will purchase Asurion’s protection plan. This year, I actually had to use it for a few products. One of the most recent times I used Asurion was for my vacuum food sealer. One day it just stopped working, so I quickly contacted Asurion. I first looked up my order history and realized I bought Asurion protection plan - I was so happy and my husband too since it was a stocking stuffer gift for him in 2021! I logged onto their website and followed the steps they provided. They assisted me right away and upon returning the item, they fulfilled the terms on my Asurion plan! It’s so nice to work with a company that keeps their word and is hassle free. So next time you’re debating, just pay those extra few bucks for Asurion protection plan, because it will save you a lot of money. I’m super grateful for the collaborative support I received from Amazon customer service and Asurion, thanks!!
