I don't normally purchase insurance for my electronics, but after my first Fitbit watch died within 2 years, I figured it may be a good idea When I purchased my next watch, I purchased the 3 year insurance. Within 2 years, my watch screen was accidentally cracked. I sent it in to Asurion for repair. They repaired it and had it back to me within 1 week. Unfortunately, after the repair, there were other operating issues that started. I called and they were very helpful and asked me to ship it back in for them to try to repair. Within 1 day of shipping back to them, they determined it was not able to be repaired and they issued me an Amazon gift card for the full original price of the watch. I've purchased my next watch WITH the insurance. Definitely worth it.

I bought an expensive refrigerator/cooler I use as a truck-driver out on the road. I purchased an Asurion x3yr protection plan when I bought the ref. b/c I wanted to protect my investment and b/c I need, use, and rely on a good ref when out-on-the-road. Well, recently the handle broke on the ref and I had to secure the lid of the cooler with a bungee chord. Thought I'd see about filing-a-claim, thinking they would repair and/or replace...but since I had never dealt/w them before, I was so unsure of the whole process. Well, lo-and-behold, they offered to replace the ref, sent me a pre-paid label to send the faulty one to them, and I then dropped-it-off at UPS, and before you know it, I was fully refunded my purchase price and I already bought Couldn't be happier with the purchase of this insurance plan, how seemless and hassle-free it is to file-a-claim, and this is in fact the rare time I would ever actually recommend "an insurance Co./plan" to anyone. Good job Asurion, and thank you for honoring the service you sell!

I'm pretty happy with asurion. More disappointed in the quality of product I needed repaired. I had to file two claims for my broken watch and the process was good. I found myself copying repeated info in various forms etc. that wasn't a seemless experience, but shipping, updates and followup calls were all good. I'll probably continue to get asurion protection in the future

Easy to file claim. Had a smartwatch that failed. Sent it back per instructions and had an answer and refund of purchase price in less than 24 hours after receipt at repair center. Would not hesitate to purchase again. Matter of fact I just did with the replacement unit.

My suggestion is if you are purchasing an electronic device and want it protected, get it from somewhere where you can physically return the product to a location. I bought this when I purchased my oldest son’s Nintendo Switch OLED, bought the 3 year coverage, and when the screen stopped working 1 1/2 years later, I filed a claim. After 6 days, sending pictures, screenshots, and even files to Asurion, filling up their automated system to where I can’t send anymore, then sending pictures, screenshots and files through their email, there still is no resolution. I keep getting an email asking me to submit the same receipt/invoice that I already sent to them close to 20 times now. I have spoken with 7 or 8 different people, they all agree the product is covered, they can even tell me the Amazon order number and they know the coverage I have through them, but say they don’t have all the information yet. My youngest son has the same Nintendo Switch that I bought from GameStop, and purchased a replacement plan through GameStop, my youngest has left his in the driveway and it got run over, left it laying in the floor and one of our dogs chewed it up, he’s been very rough with it and I think has gone through 5 or 6 now in the same time period my older son has had his, and never broke it. I walk in to GameStop, and guess what, they replace it no questions asked, and just ask me to purchase another replacement place for $30, so I do. Walk in and out the same day with a new Nintendo Switch. So don’t believe Asurion’s no hassle mess, GameStop is no hassle, Asurion is a PITA. Oh, and they still haven’t approved the claim yet. Even if they decide to cover it, I won’t make this mistake again. Today, I went to my local GameStop and purchased a new Nintendo Switch OLED because I want my son to have it when we leave for vacation tomorrow. Oh, and I purchased GameStop’s replacement plan, because I know they truly have a no hassle replacement plan.
