Better safe then sorry. I dont normal pay for protection on my electronics, however if your already paying over 2k for somthing what's another $100.

My very expensive printer would not connect to the internet. Not a software issue. The promised 24/7 does not exist. Tech who answered said he only knows "the basics" not about my printer. Offered to connect me to HP (for this I paid $299.!). HP not there on Sun afternoon of course. Waited half hour for supervisior. Called again. Promised call back. Nothing. Tech said they don't deal with these issues. He can 'file a claim", not help me. I returned the item and only received a partial refund. This site is a scam. They took my money and when I called them they said they don't provide tech services for the printer I purchased. Now they are scamming the refund. Do not let them get away with this. NO tech support. Just paperwork.

I got this to cover a $2100 printer. After a few months, I had issues out of it that I couldn't resolve. Asurion said they'd cover the repair or issue a refund. The CSR was great on getting the printer covered. Got the mailing label in the mail quickly. I shipped back the printer via UPS and got updates on the claim via text. A few days after they received it, I received an email and text saying the printer couldn't be fixed and that I'd be getting a refund. Refund is ONLY for the purchase price and doesn't include taxes which I paid $106 in taxes. The email said I'd get a separate email within 24-72 hours with the Amazon gift card (even though I paid with my bank card). By the 3rd day of not receiving an email (I checked Spam folder too), I chatted with a CSR with Asurion and was told that the gift card was sent the same day I got the email about going to get reimbursed. She stated that it was very unusual that it would have taken this long for me to have gotten the email. She verified my email (it was correct) and said she would have that resent. 24 hours later still don't have the gift card. This time I call and again, they verified my email address (still correct) and said I'd have it within 24 hours and that a CSR would call me to confirm receipt. So hopefully I will receive it tomorrow. The point is, I shouldn't have to stay on top of Asurion to get what they promised, what I paid for in coverage. How hard is it to verify while I'm on the phone that the gift card email is sent?
