GLAD FOR THE PLAN IN HAND
This is the first time I needed to put in a claim for a large purchase I made on Amazon in 2024. I purchased the Asurion Protection Plan and am SO glad that I did! The item I purchased malfunctioned BADLY this past January (2026). I contacted Asurion's on line customer service and was helped by a very nice person. It took about a week before I had a FULL REFUND in my Amazon account. The process was relatively easy, and the end results were exactly what I was hoping for. I do have a couple of other items under their protection plan and I now feel confident that this is a GOOD IDEA when purchasing something major. Thanks Asurion

Unless they replace the actual product, you lose out on taxes
When I’ve used Asurion in the past, I’ve always received a product replacement. This time I was given a gift card and didn’t think twice about it until I went to purchase the item. A 200-299.99 item has $27 worth of taxes. This is NOT included if they give you a gift card. I contacted Asurion to let them know their mistake and they told me sales tax exclusion is all over the Amazon page so consumers know this is the case when the purchase protection. I looked at all the pictures, product description , specifications, terms etc. it is listed no where on the page. The only way to find this information is by clicking under see additional terms and going to an outside link to their website and reading though 3-4 pages of fine print. I was furious. Then once a gift card is sent your contract is fulfilled. So then with my replacement item I must purchase a new 3-4year Asurion product insurance plus pay sales tax on that again. However, If they replace the item this was never an issue. So had to pay for sales tax on my replaced item plus a new insurance package for a total of $70 more than just the item replacement cost. So frustrated.

Reliable and fast!
When I buy my kitchen appliances and tech tools on Amazon, I always add asurion insurance with the purchase. I just used it for the first time and It was a great experience! Easy to file a claim and the refund was very quick! I will definitely continue to add assurion insurance with my purchases.

Simple and painless
We don’t usually purchase extended warranties, but we did after buying an air fryer / oven and we’re so glad we did. About a year and a half after making the purchase, the air fryer / oven began to function incorrectly. I went to the Asurion website to begin the claim process. I figured it would be painful … requiring videos, several emails and phone calls, and etc. But no … I simply completed the claim form and Asurion sent me a prepaid UPS shipping label to send the item back. Within a few days of the initial claim filing, we were refunded our purchase price. In a crazy, busy world, I welcome simplicity when it happens. This process couldn’t have been any easier or painless. We were so impressed that after purchasing a different brand of air fryer / convection oven, we also purchased another Asurion extended warranty … except this time we purchased a 4-year warranty rather than a 3-year warranty. Well done Asurion.
