So I’ve heard bad things about these protection plans and it almost made me not get one on my Westinghouse generator. To be clear I am very glad I did though. The generator in the first year developed an issue that caused it to stop working properly and it truly was a hassle to get it rectified with the manufacturer(I do understand though) but we did. Well about a year and a half later total catastrophe the block exploded on us at least 2 big cracks split the engine in half. I called asurion who we got the extended warranty with and within 24 hours they agreed to reimburse my purchase. I honestly couldn’t be happier. We need this power supply. We use it daily. This actually gave me the opportunity to buy solar and in the long run we will be saving a lot. I’d definitely use this warranty/insurance again. I’m extremely glad I didn’t pass it up on this purchase.

I bought this generator for my dad! He really likes it and wanted the dual gas or propane option. For the price of the protection plan, I thought it was totally worth it!
