Sized for kids, maybe? I bought this particular shirt mainly for the length, as most other women's short sleeved blouses/button ups tend to only come to the top of the hip. If you have a larger bust you know how that works out. I read the reviews carefully, especially ones mentioning larger bust sizes, examined the size chart, took Amazon's size recommendation into consideration, and ordered. I actually laughed when I removed it from its package. The shoulders are so narrow compared to the rest of the shirt that it looked ridiculous, and I thought they must be pinned back with those little plastic alligator clips. Nope. That was the actual shoulder width. I tried it on anyway. Let me just emphasize first that there is NO stretch, no give, no leeway, no comfort factor to this material AT ALL. That said, it fits generally overall as expected (barely across the bust, but I'm used to that) but only if I'm standing still, arms at my side. The waist is loose-ish, the hips more than adequate. The problem is, the second I raise my arm, the shoulder seam tightens like a garrote around my upper arm. Instant red line in my skin. If I raise both at the same time, well, I CAN'T raise both at the same time. I can't reach both arms in front of me, can't grab something from a shelf higher than mid chest, or even just comfortably relax both of my shoulders. If I went up a size the waist and hips would be like a baggy sack, and I'm not convinced the shoulder and arm maneuverability would be any better. I have a stiff neck/aching head and shoulders just thinking about trying to get thru a 10 hour shift in this constricting nightmare. It's not just a big NO from me, it's all the no's that ever noed. ... show more

    • The perfect work shirt...

I purchased this shirt in an XL. I am a size 16/18 in pants and XL in shirts. I am also 5'10", which makes the longer length of this shirt perfect for me. I was debating purchasing this shirt because I was afraid the cut would make me look too manly. I finally gave in after being disappointed with other work shirt purchases time and time again. I am so glad that I finally gave in! Some other reviewers complained that the shirt was cut for a man...and while it is definitely not overly feminine, this cut actually made me look great (for work, at least). I am quite curvy, so maybe this helped me out a bit in this instance. The shirt fits tighter (but not too tight) around the hips and around the chest. It is looser in the middle, or waist, area but this actually helped to enhance my curves without making the shirt tight or inappropriate for work. The shirt actually makes me look slimmer for some reason, which I assume is due to the cut. I do not tuck this shirt in , so that may be another reason it does not look so boxy on me. The two pockets on the front also aid in making the shirt a bit more flattering, while maintaining work appropriateness. For me, the length is perfect. It falls just where my torso meets my legs. This is great because as I move and bend I don't have to worry about the shirt pulling up too much and exposing areas that should not be exposed at work. The sleeves are also looser, so I don't have to worry about being restricted in arm movement either. It does not seem to wrinkle too much, but I could see ironing it for a more crisp, professional look. The material is breathable and not too heavy, but appears to be quite durable. The shirt is perfect for work in industrial environments. It allows me to feel as though I am dressed appropriately for my job without taking away my femininity completely. I only wish it was made available in more colorful options such as red or purple! ... show more
