I'm a firm believer that it's worth spending a little extra for a warranty, because electronics are never guaranteed. I wised up and got one this time due to the cost of the item, and I'm grateful I'm at least getting my investment back in some form.

I purchased this protection plan for one of my items — a water filter. But about six months later, when it suddenly started leaking and I requested assistance, my claim was simply canceled a couple of days later without any explanation. Based on my own experience, I can say that this protection plan does not work. I really regret that I previously purchased several more of these protection plans for my other items. For the total amount I spent on them, I could have bought a couple of new filters to replace the broken one. I strongly do not recommend this service.
