Purchased a ROKU and almost didn't get the insurance thinking I won't have a problem, but decided for a few more bucks, why not? Then, out of the blue the remote quit working. I tried batteries and everything, but it just wouldn't work. 4 Stars on easy to use b/c I tried to do it online and it wouldn't process so I had to call them. Huge win was I didn't have to wait forever for someone to assist me. The gentleman who helped me was clear and made it super easy to return and get a replacement. He even acknowledged the issues on the site and stated they were actually having some technical issues they were recently aware of and were in the process of getting it resolved but apologized I encountered them. Yes, I had to order another one and return the full product I purchased, but I mean you've sometimes got to do a few steps to fix broken things. I simply printed out the label, took it to UPS and within the SAME DAY received reimbursement and was able to order a new one! Everything I was told happened exactly as I was told. As soon as it was scanned, I received a gift card within the hour. Thankfully I had a fire stick I could use, but man.....it made me miss my ROKU.

There's an old saying: "as long as you have insurance, you never need it -- the minute you don't, you need it. The only reason I discount a star: The insurance receipt does not refer back to the product being covered. So, if you order multiple items with coverage -- it is a nightmare trying to match up what insurance order goes with what product. I have reported this issue to the Insurance Company a couple of times now -- but still no reference on the email receipt is shown. Match up your paperwork early & often -- to avoid issue down the line...

I purchased the Asurion 3-year protection plan for an Omron Blood Pressure Measurement device I purchased on Amazon. Asurion.com e-mailed me the confirmation of the protection plan purchase on the date of purchase. However, when I clicked the link to navigate to the Terms & Conditions of the plan, the link returned an error message. So, since I do not have access to the legal document (Terms & Conditions) describing the protection plan, I do not have a protection plan. I'm sure this is just a broken link that can be easily remedied by the seller of these plans, so I will give them an opportunity to fix this. If it is not fixed, and I do not receive a new e-mail with a new link, or telling me the old link should now work, I will downgrade this review to one star. If the issue is fixed, after I read the terms and conditions, I will upgrade this review to an appropriate higher-star rating. UPDATE, 5/7/2020: Asurion immediately responded to either my review or to the feedback I left them through Amazon. They sent me a .pdf copy (Adobe Acrobat document) of the Terms and Conditions of the Protection Plan I purchased from them on Amazon. I was able to save this document to my computer, and open and read it. So this has resolved the above-reported issue. Asurion was very timely in getting this resolved (immediately), as I suspected they probably would. Therefore, I am changing the Star-rating for this review from 2-star (as explained in my original review) to 5-star, because of their immediate resolution of an otherwise non-issue.

Trust me on this one you all. You would be wise to take the money you would have to pay for ANY of Asurion's Protection Scams and set it aside. Once you are in need of a repair take that money and have it fixed through the original company. The majority of these companies will work on a fair deal to please both parties, often at little or no cost. Asurion is nothing but a third party scam plain and simple. Amazon has always been great and I have appreciated them over the years. You have a problem and Amazon always takes care of it. This has not been the case when I have worked with Asurion on two separate occasions. If you must find out for yourself go ahead and take the risk, but please read Asurion's "fine print". If you value your time and want to save yourself a headache pass on ALL Asurion's Protection Scams. If you have already purchased several of Asurion's Protection Scams like I had you can return them through Amazon and they will gladly refund your money! Thanks Amazon for always working hard to take care of your customers. Asurion might want to take a lesson or two from Amazon regarding honesty and customer service. Never have I been lied to so much by a company's customer service, let alone mocked after treating the agent with dignity and respect. If Amazon offers their own Insurance Protection Plans I am all in. However, that will be the last time I fall for a third party "protection plan".
