I purchased a two year repair insurance for my ebike and the company plan states that I need to have a copy of the Asurion email confirming the Plan I purchased and a copy of the Plan itself, in order to make a claim. A little bit more than a year later, I tried to make a small claim and the company changed its terms. It no longer requires the above info, it only requires that I mail my ebike to them and they will take a look at it. However, there is no shipping label, no address to send it to, no payment for the cost for actually sending the bike (box big enough for bike, and stuffing to prevent damage) to them and who knows if they would deduct the return shipping from the actual cost to the small repair that my bike needed. They also require that I fill out a repair form to send with the bike. HOwever, the repair form doesn't say anything about bikes. It just asks me about my computer repairs or whatever little electronic device.. for example, one of the questions was asking me if the volume still worked. Try and get help from any medium they offer and it will end up the same way as putting in a claim.. you end up chasing your tail with automated responses telling you how to file a claim online like the first time you already did. Did I do something wrong when I actually made the initial claim.. according to Asurion customer service via Amazon website "contact the seller", I did not and she gave me the same instructions from which this complaint is based upon. In other words, she didn't actually answer my complaint but only circle talked me. They offered a refund... it is cheaper for Asurion to give me back my money than it is to pay on a claim they promised to fulfill. It is too late for me to purchase insurance on my ebike with a reputable company.

We've purchased the Asurion protection plan for many many years. In the past, It was hit or miss. The last five years we've needed them, they've been great to work with. Asurion has been very helpful and do look for a resolution. Easy to understand and took their time to help. Recently, we've had two big purchases give us problems. I thought we lost our money, but saw we had the asurion protection plan. Asurion came through for us. Being able to buy a product and feel confident that if issues arise, there is a company in Asurion to protect you, that's a lovely thing to have! I'm always gonna buy Asurion with every big purchase - a must have for sure!

When my elliptical had a screw shear off in a near impossible to retrieve, but key part of the device, I thought I was toast. It was still within my protection plan and when I emailed Asurion they got me the replacement value immediately. I now have a replacement elliptical and am back to doing cardio. I couldn't be happier with them and their service.
