There is a lot to like about this astronaut galaxy light projector, and there are some features that are well-intended but don't come off quite so well. For starters, the magnet in the magnetically attached head/projector module is kind of weak, and the power cable from the astronaut backpack to the head is short and resilient enough that the head likes to move back to its most relaxed configuration rather than staying where it's put. Compared to other nebula projectors, there are way too many green stars, and they are too close together. There is no way to adjust the stars fading and returning frequency. The nebula colors are selectable singly or in pairs (red, green, blue, white) but they look a bit more like smudges than nebulae. The remote control has lots of buttons, and it took several minutes to figure out what they all do. The included User Manual has little tiny print in six different languages that are all difficult to read without a magnifying glass, and most of the pages are devoted to the companion app. Bluetooth is essentially wasted on this device, because the speaker is so small that music playback sounds thin and totally unimpressive. I tried streaming some rock songs, the bluetooth connection worked flawlessly but the music sound was lame. The intrinsic "white noise" options are surprisingly entertaining, however, ranging from an electronic rendition of burning wood logs in a fireplace (I think that's what it is) to frogs, crickets, a few different simulated ocean sounds, simulated wind (sounds a lot like ocean), rainfall, distant thunder, running stream, wind chimes, jungle birds, a lilting piano melody, music box song, and a haunting, wistful tune played on bells or chimes that I personally liked a lot. The rocket nightlight isn't very impressive, but it's there, with nine or so different color choices, or dark. I'm not planning to try the app -- not enough variety in the projector functions to make it worthwhile, in my opinion, although it looks like the developers put a lot of work into it. All in all, it's very nice, but some of the features are not as good or useful as they could be. Not quite awesome enough to be five stars, but definitely 4+ stars.

This is a night light that does a little bit of everything. I love the premise. Rocket surfing Astronaut projecting a Nebula and stars, multi-color night light, and Bluetooth speaker. It's great for a child's room or to add ambiance to any room. But it needs a few changes. Start with the stars. You can't stop them from dimming. Only can turn them on or off. Why no always on setting? The wire that holds the head, it's too short. Maybe an inch longer so you can stop it from going back to a default spot? The smoothing sounds are a good addition, as is the bluetooth ability. It's no home stereo, but it does what it is made for. Soothing sounds at a decent volume. No party with this speaker. I also like that you can change the color of the night light in the rocket. And the fact that everything can be done from the included remote. Great product overall. Looks great in the dresser and my son loves it.

This is a nice light that looks awesome! The galaxy options are very colorful and bright, the brightness adjustment feature works well, and the sounds/connectivity are great. I only have two complaints. One is that the timer function seems a bit glitchy. Even if we don't select a timer option, it still turns off after a couple hours. I've even used the app to turn off the timer function and it still shuts off. The other issue is the stars. They look great but they are either off or blinking. You are not able to make them stay constantly on, even though the instruction booklet says its an option.

I got this for my boys’ room and they just love it. The lights and colors are vibrant and it has relaxing sounds that it plays or you can connect via Bluetooth to play your own music. The controls are simple and everything is easy to set up. The figurine is made from durable plastic and the head is movable to adjust the angle of the projector, it connects to the body with a strong magnet. It’s a very nice find that my boys love.

My nephew loves spending time in my daughters room when he is at the house. We have a nebulae nightlight that is always on and he just looks at it and is so fascinated. So we got him one! He loves it and the different color options. Plus, it looks like an astronaut! The bluetooth function is nice but it does not get used. If we had another device we could dedicate to this then we would probably play white noise.

This clever little guy made me laugh out loud. I have a grown son who loves the quirky and unusual. So when I saw this, I thought he had to have it. Although I got it for him as a goofy gift, he actually truly likes it. He says it is mesmerizing and relaxing to lie down and turn it on and next thing ya know, off to sleep it is. So something I intended to be kind of a silly or funny gift turned out to be something he really likes---and he is grown! I get frustrated when things are labeled as being 'for children'---why not for those who are still children at heart? Adorable, fun, quirky and cool. Five stars in my book!

Most pictures in projector listings are pretty generic and hard to decipher what is photoshopped or not. This projector delivers a gorgeous show of lights. With its magnetic detachable head, getting the right angle is effortless.

This is just fun. The way the stars and nebula project on the ceiling make you feel as if you are in space. I am not a fan of the white noise function, however that is not the product that is me hating all white noise machines. If you are into that kind of thing know that the function is there. I do like that it is a blue tooth speaker. While it is not a super high quality speaker that allows you to blare it through the house it is good enough to listen to music at your bedside. The app is robust and allows more features than the remote.
