It only takes breaking down in the middle of the road once to want to keep a jump starter in your car at all times just in case. This is my just in case, and I’m definitely glad I got it. I haven’t had to use it yet, but I tried it to see if it worked, and it did. So now it lives in my car, and I can just hope I won’t need it for anything for a while.

I work with a live performance theater and every season at least one patron, and sometimes more, has trouble starting their car. This jump starter has proved itself now twice. I love that it's small and lightweight - it's so easy to carry out to someone's car without heaving some giant heavy car-battery sized thing around. The amazing thing is something this small actually works. The caveat there is it works if your car normally starts right up. If you have to crank it for a while to get yourself going, this is probably going to run out of juice before you've gotten started - in that case, this is not a complete substitute for jumper cables. I'm pretty impressed with this and would buy it again.

I have not had to use this for my car, (thankfully!), however it worked beautifully on my riding lawn mower. I plugged it in when I first got it, and left it on the charger overnight. I then unplugged it and took it out to my car so I would have it in case of emergency. It stayed in my car for a few weeks when my niece asked for it to use on the lawn mower. When I took it out, it still had a full charge. After she used it, it still had about a half a charge! Would definitely recommend to keep in your car for emergencies or to give to a loved one to keep in theirs!

When you need a quick jump start, nothing is better to have on hand than a portable battery charger. This one is lightweight, and compact but still rugged and durable with plenty of power. I like that it has other ports so I can use it in emergencies to charge things like my phone when we have lost power. The flashlight mode means no fumbling around in the dark when you are already stressed trying to get things cranked. It holds power well and I got multiple uses out of one charge. There is an indicator on the front to let me know how much battery is left based on 25% increments. Personally I prefer an numeric display of the total percentage, but that could just be me.
