I am so obsessed with this little thing! Car was in storage for 3 months and the battery was dead. I got this to try jumping it myself. INSTRUCTIONS: very simple. you attach red clamp, then black, wait for solid green light, press the “boost” button if the light is flashing, then try to start your car. *VERY IMPORTANT* I almost missed this in the instructions - after your car starts you must remove the device within 30 seconds or it can do damage. Also- although it arrived with full bars, I charged it before use as instructed and it continued to charge, stopping when it was actually full. So def recommended charging on arrival. HOW IT WORKED: It took several seconds for the green light to turn on, so be patient. If it doesn’t turn on, try redoing the clamps. Once the light was green I tried to start the car and it didn’t work twice. I almost gave up, but the dash lights came on the second time and the engine made a noise, so I pressed the boost button and tried again - and it started !! I think it only didn’t work at first due to my battery being dead for ages, because it worked immediately on subsequent uses. Yes, subsequent uses. I drove my car around for a couple of hours and everything seemed fine for the next day. Then after not driving it for a day it wouldn’t start again. I had forgotten to charge the device but it instantly worked and was at 50% charge after. I had a (correct) feeling it would keep happening every time I turned my car off but my mechanic was closed for the weekend and I had some errands to run- so I just brought the little guy with me. Since it’s a USB plug I charged it while I was at the gym and it was fully charged by the end of my workout! I then had to use it two more times before going home, at that point it had 75% charge. So you can get 2-3 jumps out of one charge for sure, maybe even 4! Now I thought my battery kept dying because this little guy + driving around wasn’t able to give it enough juice after being stored for ages, so I got a smart battery car charger and charged the car battery for the full 4 hours recommended. After that my car still wouldn’t turn on! Once again the little guy saves my butt - I was immediately able to jump it to take it to my mechanic, who confirmed my battery was absolutely shot from being in storage. Honestly I’m pretty impressed this little thing was able to jump a toasted battery so consistently when a full battery charge via a wall outlet didn’t even work. FINAL THOUGHTS: This thing absolutely rocks. Amazing value for the price. Some people complain about only being able to get a couple uses out of it before having to charge the device- but as mentioned I’m just amazed that this tiny, super light weight thing has so much power ! This thing is lighter than those portable batteries you use for your phone and just bigger than the length of my hand. So easy to toss in a bag and it charges so quickly. One thing I feel a little stupid about, for anyone else who is too used to charging their iPhone with a usb-C wall mount: the charger is USB A to USB C. At first I only saw the USB A port, so I plugged that bit into the device and the USB C end into my phone’s wall mount. I then saw the little USB C port in the side which labeled “in” and realized I had plugged it in backwards. So just make sure you don’t make that ditzy mistake or else I don’t think it would actually charge. The USB A ports are labeled “out” so I think it could double as a power bank for your phone or whatever which is cool!

I need this in my backpack for emergencies on my motorcycles and ATVs. To test it, I disconnected the battery entirely on a Kayo 150 ATV, then connected the jump starter to the vehicle leads. With the key OFF, the starter will go to a green light for a couple seconds. Quickly turn on the key and start the ATV, then disconnect the jump starter. If the jump starter goes to the red light and audible buzzer, turn off the ATV key, disconnect the jump starter, and try again. Order: key off, connect jump starter, green light, quickly turn key on and press start button on ATV, disconnect jump starter. It worked! I can confidently bring it on the trail now.

This portable jump starter is actually amazing! So easy to use they recommend that it’s charged at 100% before using it every time. I love how small and compact it is. I used it one a regular sedan and it didn’t have any issues starting right up when I needed it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a portable jump starter, especially when you don’t have anyone around to help you. Also if you’ve never used jumper cables before, you put the red cord (positive +) on the battery first, then the black cord (negative -) on second. When taking them off do the black then red. If you just have the traditional jumper cables you put the red cord on the BAD battery FIRST then put the red on GOOD battery, next black on GOOD battery and lastly black on BAD battery in that order. Please be safe, hope this helps!

If you don’t have some type of jump pack, I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s small in size, but it has jumped my old Yukon, a few cars in distress, the battery on a dump trailer, and a battery on a couple heavy duty trucks from work. Granted, not all at once, but you do get a good 3-4 jumps out of 1 charge. The added bonus is being able to use it as a power bank on a job site to keep your phone/speaker/whatever charged. This little thing is no joke, and I’ve had it a year now with zero issues. I’m looking to buy another to put in my wife’s car’s emergency kit.

I had high hopes for this jump starter, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The idea is good, but the execution is poor, making it more frustrating than useful. 🔹 Fails When You Need It Most Despite claiming 1500A peak power and the ability to start 6.0L gas and 3.0L diesel engines (page 1), it struggled with even basic jump starts. In cold weather, it failed completely, leaving me stranded when I needed it the most (page 6, customer review). 🔹 Battery & Charging Issues The battery loses charge far too quickly, and it never seems to recharge fully — often stuck around 75%–80% (page 6, customer review). That makes it unreliable, since you can’t trust it to hold power for emergencies. 🔹 Cheap Build Quality The cables and clamps feel flimsy, and the whole unit doesn’t inspire confidence. Even though it advertises multiple safety protections (page 4), the weak build makes me question how long it would actually last. ✅ Pros: Compact and lightweight Easy to store in the car ❌ Cons: Struggles to start vehicles, especially in cold weather Battery doesn’t hold charge, never fully recharges Flimsy cables and cheap build quality Not reliable for emergencies Overall: This jump starter looks good on paper but fails in practice. When a product designed for emergencies can’t be trusted in critical situations, it’s simply not worth keeping. I would not recommend this model.

This has come in handy already quite a few times. I like that I don’t have to carry around jumper cables and can jump my car myself. Description says about four jumps per charge but mine has done better than that. I love that it is so small and portable. I bought some for my daughters as well. I like the extra peace of mind that they have it if they need it.
