I've been using these crossbars on my Element with J-Hooks to transport two kayaks and they've been rock solid. They mount to the Elements built-in crossbar mounts located underneath a set of plastic covers just above the doorframe on both sides. Like other reviews state, the rubber mount covers don't fit perfectly, but they're close enough for government work and has not resulted in any water getting in to the mount points. ... show more
