  • Fits great with my 2005 Toyota Corolla S, both the dash kit and the wire harnesses
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for my 2005 Toyota Corolla S so that I could install an aftermarket single din stereo I had gotten recently. I had never installed a car stereo before so didn't really know what to expect, even after watching a few videos, but I got it installed yesterday and although it took a while it wasn't too terribly difficult. I'm really glad I got this specific dash kit because it fit perfectly and included wire harnesses that I could plug into my Toyota's existing stereo wiring. It comes with two side panels, left and right, that clip onto the side of the main unit. A pack of screws is included which will securely attach those side pieces to the radio once it's slid into place. There are two spacers which I didn't use because the stereo seemed to fit fine without them (and I couldn't get the radio in with them in). I also didn't use the front panel piece because I couldn't figure out how to remove the existing front panel piece from the new stereo, if it even could be removed. The bag that contains the wire harnesses had the wire color codes printed on it and those matched up exactly with the wire harness from the new stereo which made connecting the wires much easier; just match like colors. I used heat sink butt connectors to connect the dash kit wire harness to the new stereo wire harness because I had a box of them, but I'm sure wire nuts would have worked just as well. Once I had the stereo secured to the dash kit and all the wires soldered I took everything to the car and put it in. This wasn't too difficult, just had to watch out that the plastic tabs didn't get caught on anything as I was pushing it in. I got it inserted, locked it in with the screws from the factory default mount, and put the rest of the dashboard back in place... then realized I forgot to connect the antenna wire so had to take it all out again just to do that. There is another review that has a picture showing this dash kit not sitting flush with the surrounding dashboard but I didn't have that experience; mine sits perfectly flush. The only very minor issue I saw was a little space at the bottom where you can kind of see the peg that snaps into the plastic below it. It's not really noticeable unless looking at it straight on with good lighting (which is what I was doing when installing it), and even then it's not very noticeable. I'm sure if I tried I could come up with a way to fix it, maybe a dab of hot glue or some kind of spacer, but I can't even see it normally and it doesn't bother me so I'm just going to leave it as is. One final note is that I decided to get this one not just because of the price and because it came with wire harnesses but also because it had the blank open slot on the top instead of the bottom. Most of the ones I looked at had it on the bottom but I wanted it on top just in case I decided to make a platform holder for my GPS then the GPS would be above the stereo and not covering it. • Not compatible
The dash kit does fit in my 2006 Corolla. I tried multiple ways and times to get it in. I would give it zero stars if I could. Total waste of time and money.

  • Not Perfect
This product is advertised to fit 03 to 08 Toyota Corollas, but has some compatibilty issues with 06 Corollas. I had to make minor adjustments to some of the slots in order for this kit to fit. Even with the adjustments, the kit does not fit flush with the dash and sticks out on the top corners. Instructions were not straightforward and contained different types of screws for seemingly no reason. However, with some willingness to adapt, we got it to fit snugly and it does its job decently. ... show more

  • Bad instructions
Dislike how the manual i recieve was incomplete. There were a whole lot of extra screw that made it confusing which one we were supposed to used.
