  • Almost perfect... but
Size: 4.9M/16Ft ladder
I own a home inspection business and these ladders are essential to my business, because I quite honestly use this ladder in various (precarious) situations on a daily basis. Climbing three flights of stairs with a ladder is a potential liability for damage for me and climbing onto roofs is the most dangerous part of my job. This ladder is very light weight and easy to carry. The Velcro on this ladder is absolute garbage, it will work for maybe a couple weeks and then no stick at all. Good Velcro must be very expensive, because I've had several other ladders of this type that have the same issue. The good thing about this ladder is that the Velcro doesn't have to hold the ladder together when carrying it around. Other folding type ladders fully rely on the Velcro to keep it together and I had to use bungee cords to hold them together just to carry it. This one is not that way because you carry it from the bottom rung and the ladder extends upwards. So no issues when carrying the ladder... only when loading/unloading from my truck... but I can deal with that. Please get better Velcro! Annoying a heck. So the next issue when dealing with these types of ladders is the release mechanisms when folding down the ladder. This ladder is very good at collapsing the ladder. It is very easy to operate and the chances of getting your fingers smashed is lower than other ladders that I've owned. I used a ladder of this type (only) one time where it took me about four minutes just to collapse the ladder. But this one takes about 20 seconds or less. Very good design and so far so good after about 200 uses. I did have an issue with the bottom rung of this ladder not being fully secured upon first use. The first time I stepped on the bottom rung, it collapsed on one side and I didn't feel comfortable letting my client climb the ladder to see the attic in that situation. When I got home, used a rubber mallet to pound the bottom rung back into place and it's been good ever since. That seems to be a quality control issue. I almost returned the ladder, but I'm glad I didn't at this point. The last issue when buying this type of ladder is stability. For me, I am most concerned about climbing on rooftops and stability of the ground below. So first of all, do NOT place this ladder on a slick deck surface to climb onto a roof... that general rule applies to all ladders, but especially this one. If this ladder had extended supports at the base, it would be much better for roof climbing applications. But it has performed quite well when used cautiously. Flexion is the last issue when talking about this type of ladder. There are two types of telescoping ladders: the double section type that folds in half, and the single section type like this one. You really have to be careful in how you're positioning these types of ladders (mostly) based upon how high you're climbing. This ladder is very good for climbing on single story homes, but getting down is the bigger issue. When climbing down from any position, you will want to feel like the ladder is stable. This is where the folding ladders have an advantage because you'll be grabbing onto a larger (seemingly my stable) top end of the ladder. With this ladder it seems less stable when climbing down but the flexion when climbing the ladder is MUCH better. It's a trade off, but I prefer less flexion as this ladder provides. I could go on more but here is the deal: -Improve the Velcro (please) -Collapsing mechanisms are very good -Quality control for initial use needs improvement -Stability could be improved at the base with extensions If anyone comes up with a ladder similar to this one with all of these qualifications, please let me know. This is a very good ladder, but with these stated improvements it could be the best ladder. ... show more

  • Super portable and sturdy
Size: 4.9M/16Ft ladder
I am a heavy guy. This is one of the very few extension ladders around that I feel safe on. Collapses to a small size. Only con is easy to pinch your skin collapsing the ladder

  • Make sure itโ€™s locked
Size: 3.8M/12.5Ft ladder
Overall, I really like this product. Itโ€™s a very handy ladder. However, I have noted that the latches can be a little bit deceptive. Make sure they are completely engaged before climbing on this ladder. All of the locks must be perfectly aligned. In fairness, I had similar concerns with another of the same type of ladder from a different brand. also, I have noted that the feet tend to slide off this thing. You might want to wrap a little bit of aluminum tape around those so they donโ€™t slip off. Itโ€™s definitely worth the money though and overall, I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Sweet little ladder
Size: 10.5 FT
Real estate is at a premium in my truck. I occasionally need to climb on a roof for work but not every day. I wouldnโ€™t attempt to carry a lot of weight up this thing, but for getting myself up there without a bulky ladder and rack on my truck, this works great. I have a couple of gorilla ladders, but this guy gets the job done most all the time and it packs away nice. ... show more

  • Space Saver!
Size: 3.8M/12.5Ft ladder
This is only slightly heavy, not bad at all, with patience, my 5' 105-lb wife can use it. Nice and sturdy, I use this with my camper to access the roof. Feels very secure, not very bouncy at all. With any ladder a lanyard is a good idea with a tie off anchor at places of repeated use.

  • Handy, lightweight, and sturdy
Size: 8.5 FT
We've used this as a ladder for a small cabin loft. It's very sturdy, easy to adjust the height, and has withstood heavy use and abuse. I've very impressed. The rungs are very narrow and hurt your feet if you don't have shoes on.
