    • Great hoop for young kids
My 7yo daughter came home from school last year all pumped up to play basketball after learning about it in PE. She was dribbling a ball around as was pretty good at it so I decided that maybe we should get an inexpensive hoop for her to play on. I played basketball in HS and I would love her to play, but have tried not to force it on her. I didn’t want to go crazy and install some permanent hoop in case it was just a phase and she didn’t play after 6 months. This seemed like the perfect solution and it has been. She’s been playing with her friends and is excited for the local city league to start up. The unit is a little smaller than a standard hoop but not by far.     • Good inexpensive option
If your kids are in AAU or used to playing street ball, this likely isn’t for you. If your kids are in the burbs and just need an outdoor activity, this is great. I’d recommend this for preteens and older Elementary age kids. It’s too big / tall for most young kids, even at the shortest size. It’s too small for full grown teenagers/adults. It’s not meant for dunking, the metal rim is not sturdy enough. It was easy to put together in about 30 min. The instructions were more clear than most off brands and the wrenchs provided were nicer too. I recommend a ratchet as there are several locknuts. Some of the screws were mislabeled so we thought they were missing but they weren’t. The diagrams made it pretty clear. The adjustable size is just adding one extra pole. It’s not adjustable in the way that others are where you can move the rim up and down easily. If you want to change your configuration, you’ll need to disassemble slightly and reassemble. The wheels are pretty cheap and came loose a lot but it was easy enough to move, even with the base full. This was great as we can scoot it onto the side of the garage when not in use so we can park cars in driveway. It does require flat ground to use / stay put. Overall for an off brand, I was very pleasantly surprised. The quality was better than expected. It came with extra net and the kids were out playing within an hr of unboxing.
