- description seemingly suggested its only for Re-heating or warming , but I cooked Chicken with it , & it looked & tasted cooked to me . - - It does boil / small size pan best of course. - - as it warns , it does stink the 1st few? times you use it . - - the base does get hot ( don't touch ) .

READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE!!!! It smells. Have to heat it up outside for 15 mins to burn out the smell before use it .Heat up way faster than I thought. I use it for small hot pot .

This is perfect for a 2 cup moka pot. It has an accurate thermostat and it works exactly as described by the manufacturer. As the documentation says, you need to run it for 10-15 mins for the initial smell to go away (that can be a case with premium roasters too) and then it is a great little work pony. ... show more

I am using it exclusively for my moka coffee pot, I don't have other pans small enough to use on this appliance. If ever there was a match made in heaven, this is it. I turn on the burner to "3", place my boiler with water on the burner, insert the funnel and place my fresh coffee grounds in place. Then I screw the kettle in place. Don't wait too long or the boiler will be too hot to hold. When the coffee is ready, I turn the burner to "off", pour the coffee into my cup. add cream to the coffee and set the cup on the cooling burner. In just one or two minutes, the coffee with cream is at the perfect temperature. I highly recommend this product for use with a moka pot. ... show more
