I've had this installed for a couple weeks now. I wanted to wait until my first heavy rain to write a review. First off, the installation is hard. I'm not going to say how long it took me, because it's kind of embarrassing, but believe me, it was at least as much as stated in the description. Not only that, but at the end of it all, I was sore. I'm a pretty fit guy, workout often, and I needed a day of rest after this. Highly recommend having a friend around to help. I did not until the very end stages and it was a lifesaver. As for the top itself, once installed...I couldn't be happier. I purchased the twill fabric and it looks awesome. Riding with it fully on, there's really no more noise than the hard top. Everything is tight and no flapping at all. And I'm very happy to say, I drove through my first rainstorm today...about 1/2 hour drive in torrential rains (hard to see, even with wipers on high) and I couldn't spot a drop inside the car. It was probably raining all night too, and my car sits outside. Absolutely astonished that there were no leaks. Putting it back into sunrider mode is such a snap. And riding that way is very fun. Taking it to full open mode is also pretty easy, but having a friend helps in putting the fabric all the way back in the trunk. I'd probably knock 1/2 star off for not being able to easily store all the windows in the trunk (it can be done, but it'd be nice to have a bag like what comes with the hardtop - forums say they are close to having a solution - maybe by end of 2017). Other than that, everything is great so far. The pouches in the top are a nice touch. If you're looking for a soft top, stop here. There's no reason not to buy this one.

Great product! I had no issues with pieces missing or damaged, everything was there and easily labeled in the instructions. I installed this myself with my dad and had only a few issues. First, 3 of the Pan Head Washer Screws broke when attempting to attach the Stray Strap to the #4 Bow. There was no extra hardware included, so we had to make a run to the hardware store. No big deal though. Also, the instruction were okay, but could have been better. We watched a YouTube video to help us through the install, but still struggled on a few things. The windows were difficult to snap on, but we expected that based on other reviews I've read. They suggested letting them sit out in the sun during install to make them stretchier, however the good ole' Missouri weather didn't cooperate as usual. The tailgate bar is the last step and it was very challenging to snap on! We got it kind of close enough, but I'll need to go back and try that one again! We were just ready for it to be done at that point. It honestly does not sound as bad as it seems. We had fun working on this, but be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on it and I wouldn't attempt it by yourself if you don't normally work on cars/Jeeps. Ultimately, I am very satisfied with my purchase! I spent a lot of time researching what would be best for me. I wanted to ditch he hard top, but knew I needed something else to endure the elements where I live as the weather is constantly changing. I am confident that I made a good choice with this top of the line soft top and can't wait to try out the various features!

First off, this is really a great top. It looks great on the jeep, the heavy twill version has a lot less wind noise than you might expect, and the tinted windows are dark enough to help hide contents and look great. I installed it myself, and there are a couple of little issues I ran into during the installation. One of the pan head screws they supplied snapped off (using a manual screwdriver, not a drill) in one of the bows and it will be difficult or impossible to remove it. The issue is their pre drilled hole for the screw was probably too tight for the material thickness. All of the screws that thread into the tubes themselves went in fine, but this screw goes into a curved metal plate welded to one of the rear bows. They are meant to attach a strip of protective cloth and there are other screws at that location that hold everything in place so on practice it doesn't affect the operation of the top. Also one of the screws for one of the plastic end caps on one of the frame tubes was missing. I found a suitable replacement in my garage. I contacted Bestop and they agreed to send some replacement screws, but they told me it could be a 6 week wait. Really for the price of this product there should have been a handful of 20 cent spare screws in the box. There is literally only one screw for each hole and no room for mistakes. Better not do the install on a grassy lawn in case you drop one. Ok, now that's out of the way, I love this top! It's easy to open and close and it's configurable several different ways for different needs. But it has one quirk that is both its coolest feature, and its most inconvenient feature at once. That's the glide system for the windows. Having had a zippered hard top, and living where the dust is powder fine, soft top zippers jam up really easy and are a pain to get up and down. These glide windows solve all that and you can take them off in seconds without fighting with the dusty, sticking zippers. But, the channels that make the windows glide on and off are rigid and can't be bent. This means you can't roll the windows and stow them in the back. They have to be stored flat. This means you will need to buy the storage bag for them, and it might interfere with other cargo in your jeep. If I had known this before buying the glide, I might have bought the zipper window Trektop instead. Anyhow overall its a great top. After installing it the first time, it will be easier to swap with the hard top because you won't have to assemble anything, just unclip and remove the soft top and take the door frames off by unscrewing the knobs. Update 8-8-2020: Bestop did send the replacement screws, faster than the time they quoted me, so I'm very pleased with their customer service. Also as seen in the attached image, the back pane will collect a LOT of dust on the trail and after about 5 minutes you can't see out of the back. This happens to a greater degree with the Trektop style than a square back soft tops. If your trails are always damp or covered in leaves and organic material instead of fine powdered dust, you probably won't notice.

Looks great. Install said 4 hours and it only took me 2 days. Even with some install videos I had a take things apart and back up steps several times. Eventually was successful though and did the install solo. Windows much easier to take on and off than when they had zippers. Be careful when folding top, easy to smash your fingers. Looks great and is really very quiet with the top up and windows on. Recommend.
