As 'expected', the SB8200 having DOCSIS 3.1 '1Gbps' capability greatly enhanced 'Download' results. My previous Arris SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 limited 'Download' to only 350Mbps. I have 600Mbps internet from Xfinity; when connecting PC directly to cable modem, 'Download' speedtest.net results went from 285Mbps to 715Mbps 😁 ... show more

I was running an earlier version of this modem that I had bought 6 years ago which was Docsis 3.0. I didn't even realize I wasn't getting the 600Mbps that I was paying for on my plan. I was limited to just over 4000Mbps. After installing this modem, which needed no setup - just plu and play, I was seeing over 600 Mbps on my connection. Replaced an Arris sub-gig modem that always worked well. This one gives (after upgrading service from Cox), close to gig speeds in our case. Easy to install, worked well out of the box. Never even had to contact tech support for anything and have had no issues in the almost 2 months.
