Description

Many decried the original Game Boy Advance's reflective LCD screen and its reliance on external light sources. Most GBA SP's use front lighting technology, which is all the Platinum-Silver model was released with. Now you can buy a backlit GBA SP, which has been custom tailored in the Original Platinum Silver color. Games are backwards-compatible -Play your Advance, Color, or Original Game Boy games! The SP comes with a well-designed power adapter that recharges a built-in battery; its prongs fold in for easier storage. Our informal tests found that it takes about four hours to fully charge (you can even play it while it's plugged in and charging), and the battery lasts about 11 hours with the backlighting constantly on--your results may vary. Using the backlighting less often will conserve battery power.

No visible damages, buttons are fine, screen is great. The only issue is that I’ll need to swap the battery. I charged it all night but the indicator light is constantly red. Luckily the batteries are pretty cheap, so hopefully I can get this right soon

I bought the item and got the first one, once I powered it on I immediately noticed dead pixels and discoloration on the screen I was playing Mario and luigi superstar saga, I requested a new one and once I got it it was scuffed all up had dead pixels but I was able to play it, I put maybe three hours into a game when it died so I went to charge it and lo and behold the charger didn't work so I swapped to my personal charger and once again nothing, I won't be buying from them again ... show more

Works great, charger doesnt seat all the way in and you have to sit it at a certain angle to get it to charge. When purchasing something that says excellent condition refurbished, I generally think of something damn near brand new. Not scratched and beat up with multiple flaws.

I came into this knowing full well that this product is pre-owned and refurbished. The screen is fully functional, the buttons all work, and the sound is better than I remember as a kid. All of this meets my expectations.
