It isn't as easy as the 90-second microwave rice packages, but it's much more cost effective! The cooker works well. It's easy to use and the directions are very clear. I was a little surprised at how much time it takes rice to steam to perfection, but after waiting until the cooker cut itself off, I was pleased with the texture and quality of the brown rice I always use.
