Soooo, lot's of reviews about this cover.Some good, some not so good. Here's the skinny on this. I'm an elevator mechanic for a living so i'm well adapted in the garage and around tools. If you're into working on your own stuff, you won't have any issues assembling and installing it on your snowblower. It will however give you a run for your money if your not paying attention to the directions. I read a lot of complaints about the wrinkles in the clear plastic due to shipping. So before I did anything, I grabbed a large bath towel, got it wet and ringed it out, and then put the wife's ironing board and iron [carefully] to work. This actually did help quit a bit (and took quite a bit of time) I would recommend this. It didn't take out every little wrinkle, but it definitely helped with a lot of large creases. I was able to assemble the cab alone. After assembly, tried using a heat gun on low to remove some small wrinkles. If that helped any, I didn't notice. It took two of us to mount it to the Cub Cadet snowblower. Figuring out where you want it to mount and where it will be sitting is as tricky as it gets. It definitely pays to have another set of hands for this part as it is unwieldy. Once we got it all bolted up it seemed pretty sturdy. I think I will drill and through bolt the bracket where it clamps to the downtubes just to keep it from twisting/sliding during use as I can see that may become a problem. Remember, this is a universal cover. If you have a single headlight, this cover may work fine for you with it's zipper flap that allows the light to remain uncovered. It you have the newer duel LED light's like the Cub has, this won't work for you. Honestly, I'm just going to grab a large pair of shears and cut the cover where the lights go. Maybe duct tape or a few zip ties/bungie cords to hold it in place to the lights. If you don't do this, the light will reflect back into your face from the inside. Or just don't use your lights. We didn't find that the wrinkles obstructed our view as bad as some others stated. Let's face it, i'm not driving down the highway, it's just moving snow. By the way, it also has a little storage bag that hangs down from the inside bracket so you can stuff your hat or gloves in there. Pros: No more snow dust Keeps you out of the wind, dry, and a lot warmer Fit's most anything Good buy for the money Easy for the handy person to assemble It's universal Cons: Can be difficult to assemble for the "not so handy" You'll most likely need to do something to help get rid of wrinkles. You'll most likely have to do something for the headlights if putting on a newer model machine. It's universal

Not hard to assemble, definitely need two people to get the job done though. We took other reviewers suggestions and used a hair dryer on hottest setting to smooth out the wrinkles in the vinyl, it worked great. The video on the product info page here on Amazon was a handy companion to the paper instruction manual. One bolt on the mount that determines the distance from the snowblower to the cab got stripped. My husband bought a new bolt and plans to try it, or if the hole got stripped, he will drill all the way through the mount and just bolt through the whole thing. And there was a weld on the cab side frame that gave way that holds a set screw, he's going to to the same with that and just drill through for a new bolt. To be honest, these things may have been more his fault than that of the manufacturer, he's a little "rammy" sometimes! :-) He has an Ariens Deluxe 24", two stage snowblower that we just got Nov 2017. FYI we mounted it on the horizontal bar that goes under the controls. As per the instructions for this cab, you can mount that way or on the vertical side bars. He was concerned this cab would cover the headlight, but unzipping the front panel which was for this purpose worked fine, light still exposed. Overall this was a GREAT alternative to a pricey cab that is brand specific. We highly recommend.

At 40% off I couldn’t pass on this cover. Put it on myself in an hour. You don’t need two people. Pretty strait forward once you get going. Use some loctite on the threads so they won’t back out. The bonus pocket inside I added a small fuel bottle and it came in handy cause I ran out of gas while running it. The only downside I found was my Ariens LED bar was blocked by the front cover which blinds you at night because the light reflects back. I’ll just add a few zip ties and roll it up past the light. It keeps you nice and dry when you hit that angle of the dreaded blow-back. I would definitely buy again and should’ve bought years ago. The clarity seeing through it is fine & looking to add windshield wipers :) - It keeps the wind , ice & snow off of you & does it well. Two bolts and you can pull the cab off the main bar and use it as a make shift cover for storage. It’ll take less room & cover your snowblower. GLTA 1-26-26 This cab saved me during the snow and ice storm of 26. Stayed nice and dry without feeling the heavy wind and getting the blowback. -2 doesn’t feel like -2 when you have a cab. Used it many times now and still like new. Worth the cost even at full price if you get caught in a snowstorm you’ll be glad you have it.

I'm not sure why, but when it snows where I live it is always windy and the snow gets blown right back into my face when I'm clearing my driveway. This cover worked great for my cub cadet 3X snow blower. Assembly wasn't difficult, but I highly recommend finding the video online and watching them assemble it because when you have to find the tabs on the inside of this thing they're damn near impossible to find unless you're watching the video. But, this thing kept the snow from blowing back in my face and I love it.

If you have reasonable expectations about what this cab is for and designed to do, you will be pleased. This "cab" is designed to keep your upper body/face from getting covered in blowing snow and it does just that. The blowing and drifting snow that would normally be getting on YOU gets on the enclosure instead, just like it was designed to do. It WILL need to be cleaned off for visibility occasionally, either by tapping it from the inside or wiping the outside off for a clear view. It IS an enclosure around you, so you need to be aware of branches and various height clearances. This cab MAY obstruct lighting on some snow blower designs with 2 headlights that are side by side. There is a zipper flap to expose single/center mounted headlights and would probably work well with that design. Been through 3 storms thus far, solid piece that does the job... I would recommend it.

Wish I could leave a no star review but it won't allot that. All screw type fasteners need some loctite or they will vibrate out. The canvas hood is made with thin, clear "windshield" plastic. This is absolutely not New England cold weather rated. While trying to wipe the snow off the windshield, it broke, cracked or whatever you want to call it. I have a giant slice in mine now. I got TWO USES out of this.. Not much functionality with a slice in the windshield. There is zero value in this product.

It does a good job at keeping blowing snow off you, especially during a storm when the wind is whipping. Obviously from the wait down you will get covered, but at least your hands and face are protected. Visibility is good and the vinyl material is heavy duty. Only 3 stars because of the problems inherent with any generic product: its not made for YOUR model. I installed this on a Husqvarna ST330, and it was a pain in the ass. The assembly of the unit itself was time consuming. Fitting it onto the snow machine was even more time consuming, and not really a one-man job, as adjustments need to one made while holding the unit in place and tightening the clamps. The clamps by the way end up being located at spots that are difficult to reach not eh machine and tighten... and this is with socket wrenches with extensions. There is a considerable amount of weight that basically is supported at only two places, it's not the most solid arrangement. I ended up having to really crank down on some the clamps to prevent the canopy from shifting under it's own weight, much less the movement of actually using it on the machine. This crushed one of the supporting frame tubes on the machine, but there was no other way to hold up the weight. If this type of unit was offered by the OEM it would probably be designed differently for better stability, and perhaps made of lighter carbon fiber instead of the extruded metal. I question whether this will hold up long term over several years. It worked fine for one season. Due to the added weight being supported by the frame of the machine, I removed the canopy at the end of the season. Another pain in the ass and thankfully I was wearing eye protection as one of the supporting arms on the canopy came loose and sprung out (its under tension) and whacked me in the eye during disassembly. The supporting arms are held in place with set screws which must have worked loose from vibration.
