Arrived early with no defects. The storage box is sturdy and secures well. Depending on the weight of items to be stored in the box, it might be a good idea to re-enforce the bottom with 1/4 plywood. I'm going to. After all it is "Heavy Duty Aluminum". Other than that, I'm pleased with the purchase.

I needed a secure battery box for the front of my trailer. I planned on replacing the lead acid battery with 4 x 100Ah Litium batteries. They're spendy, so wanted to lock them, and they don't like excessive heat either. So I chose this box as it was the largest box that would fit between the propane tanks and the trailer body, was silver (not black) to reflect heat, and had a diamond plate exterior that exactly matched the existing front of the trailer. I had read the reviews about the thinness of the metal and was a little concerned about supporting 100# of batteries. It has worked out perfectly however. The box is sitting on the trailer frame, so the middle is nicely supported. It is plenty strong like that. The center front latch wouldn't work for me (because of the tanks) so I installed some draw latches...which are lockable (see photos). The box is much larger than the batteries themselves, so I also drop a sewer hose and leveling blocks in it. Bonus! Overall...I am delighted the way this worked out. I also noticed reviews commenting on shipping damage. My box arrived perfectly. I think some improvements have been made to the packaging as there were reinforcements at the corners. I would highly recommend this box for this application.

At the price, it’s hard to complain. These boxes are reasonably well made. The aluminum is thick enough to seem sturdy. The kids close right. The latches are nice. I didn’t like the hinges all that much. They seem a bit lacking. But I think they will be fine. My only real gripe is that I had to adjust both latches for the lids to close fully. It was easy. Common sense got it done. It didn’t take any complicated instructions. But the fact that a brand new box came that way kinda frustrated me. Still, they are worth the buy and I expect to get many years of service from them.

A great price! Metal was thinner and no seal around the lid, which was expected. Wanted a functional box to hold ratchet straps and bike gear without spending 3 or 400.00. This accomplished that. Will keep the petty thief at bay probably not the career criminal.

This is a beautiful looking box but it is incredibly thin material. I will have to line with quarter inch plywood to limit damage from materials inside. It is light weight but it will be in the back of a pick-up - weight as not a consideration. Shipping time was very good. It came with a damaged corner but was able to pound it out.

I bough this box for the back of my truck to put groceries in, at first my review was not favorable but after going back and reevaluate it it will work fine to go to the store and put stuff in and it is lockable for the price I paid I got my money's worth

I searched diligently for 'just the right' storage box to mount on the hitch of my teardrop travel trailer. Since the weight and size of the box were top priorities in the decision, I was worried about the sturdiness of this box. But for the price, I don't think there's anything better. To be fair, this is very lightweight, but for the weight, I think it will take the direct wind forces while driving 60-70 mph. I had to manipulate the lid a little to get it to lay perfectly flat (it was slightly askew), but it feels quite solid now, especially since I mounted it without the expanded metal flat tray that was already bolted to the tongue.

Like most others have stated. This isn't a "top of the line" or "high end" product. I purchased it because I needed a mid grade, rugged, tool storage box for an ATV trailer. It has plenty of room for the items I intended to store in it. I added some padding to the bottom to prevent damage to my tools and water/weatherproofed the lid as another reviewer recommended. This product is what I expected and I will note there was some minor shipping damage to the box. Nothing that prevents seal, or lid function. It's a little more flimsy than those sold at "Tractor Supplier" type stores but it's way under their cost. I am a happy customer and think it is an awesome value. Shipping was very quick to S.W. Arkansas.
