  • Be careful, it bleeds!!
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: TRANSYLVANIA
I love this dye honestly! It smells good, applies super well, and the PIGMENT! I got Transylvania and did this split dye look. If you look though, it bled into the white when I went to rinse it and made it a denim blue, which I didn’t want but it doesn’t look bad. I also applied it to my bleached hair and it didn’t turn green, but I do add a ton of silver to it (if you have bleach blonde hairs, yours probably won’t turn out rich blue black but probably green so make sure you fill it). I love that it’s a dark raven black, doesn’t have any red or bronze to it. My recommendation is if you’re doing a split dye with a lighter color, use a black that needs developed so that way it doesn’t bleed when you wash it out in the shower. This dye does stain, SUPER BAD lol but bleach in the shower and a good exfoliation will do the trick with the aftermath. Overall, if you wanna live your goth girl dreams, this dye is very fun to work with if you know what you’re doing because it can be a little unforgiving. Lol ... show more

  • Best fashion color company on the market!
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Wrath
I used wrath and was not disappointed! This dye kicks others to the curb, esp compared against overtone. It has a very subtle smell and it is such a gentle product. I am sensitive to hair products with sensitive skin, and this did not cause any irritation or burning sensation. I literally forgot I had it in my hair while coloring. I didn't quite follow directions.... I put it on dry hair for an hour (no cap) and washed it out with hot water. I LOVE the result! I had previously used frosé but it was too light for my liking, although pretty. Perhaps putting wrath over light pink caused it to be more pink toned than red. But I dig it for sure! At my roots, you can also see it colored my natural light brown hair. Excited to see how long it lasts! ... show more

  • IMPORTANT INFO PLEASE READ
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: TRANSYLVANIA
TLDR: I like this brand, have used several shades for many years and would recommend. DO NOT use Transylvania (black), it turned my hair green after washing out and after 2 rounds of bleach it’s still green. The photos are of the black dye and the color it faded to. I’ve been using Arctic Fox for several years now to touch up my vivid hair between salon visits and have used several of their shades. In general, the pinks and reds seem to yield the best results while the blues and greens stain more and are more difficult to get out. I wanted to change things up and tried out their black dye. The color looked great after application but as it has faded, my hair has turned almost every shade of green. My professional vivids hairdresser has had to use 2 rounds of bleach (at this point maybe even a 3rd) to lift the green. It will not come out, we’ve turned to color correcting with pinks and reds, but if I wanted to be blonde, I’d probably have to just cut it all off. ... show more

  • My hubby is a hairdresser
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Color: Periwinkle
Love that this product is vegan cruelty free. The color smells good and doesn’t mess with my Scalp. It leaves your hair feeling soft, I was at a level 9. Not quite platinum, my husband is a hairdresser and does my hair. My hair has been every color in the rainbow lol. This time I went Aqua blue green in the front and periwinkle in the back. I absolutely love the color, it fades a little fast tho. But I love the faded look too. It turns to a pastel blue/purple and looks so pretty. I posted a few photos to show the progress of each stage. I will definitely buy again!! Hot topic no longer sales this color line. So far I have only been able to buy this product line on Amazon for a decent price. Love it ... show more

  • Rinse forever and ever, smells nice though
I have reddish hair, probably maybe a 5 or a little lighter maybe on those hair charts that don't show any red tints. Using Purple Rain, my hair is a nice purple in good lighting, not super vibrant since I didn't bleach it. In dim lighting it just has a more darker, brown-black look which also looks good. Rinsed out the dye for 1/2 an hour, thought I had it all. Couple hours later undid my hair from the tshirt wrap I had it in and combed it, hand was then purple so I rinsed another 1/2 hour, and let it dry, went ot bed. Today, I've had to rinse it again but far less dye came out. Using cold water each time. My hair is really long to/slightly-past my natural waist line, I didn't dye 100% of my hair, intented to dye just sort of halfway up but it kind of didn't go that way and I might as well have dyed it all and may just use the remaining dye to finish off the top of my head so I don't look like I just didn't bother finishing the whole thing off. I wanted my natural hair to still be showing but that didn't really work out as planned. Hard to dye my hair w/o glasses on and no one there to tell me just how high up did the dye just go on the back of my head. If you're dying your hair with Purple Rain, I'd recommend not drinking the berry version in the black bottle of Body Armour electrolyte drink at the same time. They smell the same, and somehow, it's just sort of gross. (The drink is amazing, just... not when the dye is also on my head and then I'm drinking something that smells the same, nearly choked it up out my nose) My hair looks cool though, and I wish I could find a non-harsh way to easily lighten my hair that wasn't hydrogen peroxide, lemon-in-the-sun (and not 80's spray in stuff either), or actual bleach kits. I did do two honey/cardamom rounds but I'm not real sure if those actually held out from the time I did them to the time I dyed my hair, there was about a month gap. I really want to do pink and blue but I don't think those will work on my hair at all, especially not the brightness I am after. My asthma won't be able to handle the smell of chemical bleaching. I've no idea what "Drying Power" in the rating means, it did not dry my hair out at all, but myhair is not dry to start with, it's just normal. So I rated that a 1. Did not rate longevity, I only dyed it yesterday, still rinsing out excess dye so I can tell you it requires a whole lot of rinsing. I saw all kinds of YT comments saying how they never have to rinse their hair much, but I noticed those are all on pastel type videos. Kind of wonder if people are really not having to rinse and maybe my hair just doesn't absorb the dye, I use sulfate free shampoo no conditioner or anything prior. Or if they just don't see the dye running off because it's pastel, where as this purple rain is pretty easy to see until the end when it's kind of hard to tell is it the sink that's faintly purple or the water. I quit when paper towels patted on my hair stayed white, so I don't know why I have to keep going back to re-rinse it. No idea where the dye is coming from. I have ME so energy is very low, honestly this was exhausting in every way, but seeing as I don't need to wash my hair as often as I used to before becoming ill, hopefully the color will last a while. Dying long thick hair is a lot of work it turns out. If anyone has any non-harsh ways of lightening lvl 5 reddish-brown hair, that won't hopefully set off asthma I'd love to know, even if it's just keeping at the honey method if that really does work I'll keep at it. I want pink and turquoise hair so much :) ... show more
