I absolutely LOVE arctic fox! Every time that I have ever used any of their products I am NEVER disappointed! My 8 year old daughter loves to change her hair color almost every time that I change my hair color (which is a lot because of my gray hairs lol) I love the fact that it is safe enough for me to be able to use on my daughters hair and I don’t have to worry about her hair being damaged in any way. She is able to get the colors she wants and gets a fun scent to go along with it! We have been using this brand since she was 5 years old and we will NEVER use another brand on her hair. The results are always amazing even without bleach! She has dirty dishwater blonde/light brown hair and it gives enough color to where you can noticeably tell that she has changed her hair color! Dying my hair for years now and I've switched from splat which I don't recommend to punky, which was good but it doesn't compare to this stuff. Ive only just put it in but I am so far impressed because it didn't stain my skin, especially considering I didn't use protection on my skin, came right off with just water and cloth. It's super vibrant, the bottle design is awesome which I appreciate alot but like I said mainly impressed because of the no stain. Will have to come back on here to and tell how long it lasts but yeah, so far 10/10. ... show more

I’ve been dying my hair with Arctic Fox for about 10 years now, before they were on Amazon/Hot Topic/Sally Beauty Supply. Nothing sticks to my hair better (my stylist has used Pulp Riot on occasion, and while the shade range is pretty, it washes out way too fast.) I always bring my AF to the salon for my appointments and do my touch-ups at home in between. I’ve experimented so much over the years, mixing custom colors, diluting with Arctic Mist, and I’ve tried just about the entire range of colors at this point. Some colors definitely last longer than others (that’s just the nature of it), with Aquamarine and Purple AF being the standouts, they are among the most pigmented and long-lasting. I really really love this brand, and everyone goes crazy over the scent when they smell it in my hair (it smells like grape Jolly Ranchers.) I’ll never buy any other brand! Tips to make your color last longer: obviously, don’t wash every day. Every few days is ideal. Dry shampoo is your friend. Wash in cooler water, as cold as you can stand it. Color-safe sulfate-shampoos are best, even better if they’re made for preserving fashion colors. You can put your leftover AF dye in your bottle of conditioner as well. Editing to add: it does not take well to virgin hair (looking at the 1-star reviews where people used it on their kids.) Hair must be porous (bleached) in order for the color to stick, even if you are a natural blonde. Hope that helps. ... show more

I've wanted to go red for a long time but will never bleach or treat my hair so this seemed like a fun way to experiment. I got the Ginger Flare color and tried a test strip of hair for an hour then rinsed it out. I didn't notice any difference in color or texture so went all in and put the entire bottle in my hair and left it in for 3-4 hours. I rinsed it out with cold water and went to bed. I did not have any staining in my tub but USE AN OLD PILLOWCASE OR TOWEL. I used an old one and it was very orange in the morning and a little soaked through onto my pillow cover. Take the warnings seriously and wear dark or old clothes the first day or two. The dye seems to come out fine in the wash but don't risk it. It was super red in the morning but after a hot shower the color toned down a lot. I really like it. My hair is normally medium to dark brown and the color change was noticeable but somewhat subtle. I would say it's comparable to the example pictures they gave for dark brown hair, just a little less saturated. When my hair is wet or sweaty there can be a very small amount of color bleed but it's very light. I'm not wearing nice white shirts but everything else seems fine. Now for the reason I'm only giving it 4 stars: It's only been in a few days and the color seems to be fading already (despite barely washing out in the shower anymore). To me this isn't an issue because I wanted to try something short term but I think others may want it to last longer. That being said, if you take steps to maintain it like leaving it in even longer at the start, only washing your hair with cold water, or if your hair is treated/lighter, it will probably last much longer. I really like trying this product and would recommend it to anyone wanting a short term change, but for some it might not last long. ... show more
