The color on the base is pretty darn close (acceptable to me for my laundry room) to the matte gold faucet and hardware I already installed in my laundry room. This is a pretty and elegant light, does allow a lot of light to fully brighten my small bedroom with just one bulb. I would maybe give it 1 less star because it does not quite fit flush to the ceiling, there is a narrow gap which does bother me. I believe I will keep it and try to find a way to fill that gap. Very easy to install for a first time light swapper. I changed my rating to 5 stars because after a couple weeks I really do love the elegant look of the light, with a reasonable price. ... show more

Nice light for the price. I love the shape and the ease of installation. I took one star off because the color is a pale yellow that isn't even close to brass or gold. It looked terrible but I used gold leaf rub n buff and that gave it lovely texture and deep gold color.

I love the light itself. However, I couldn't completely remove the sticker that was attached to the base. I may try again but I'm worried about possibly damaging the surface.
