My living room only had a single switched outlet with a couple of end table lamps on it, and it's always been too dark. The older I get the more light I need! So did some rewiring and installed a couple of these units on the ceiling. Much brighter now. Decent light -- simple, inoffensive, functional. It's nothing to get super excited about, but it gets the job done! Relative to other comparable options, it may be a bit expensive at nearly $60 because it's not that big -- I wouldn't count on it to light up a whole room, for example. This light is currently illuminating the landing at the bottom of the stairs at my house, and it works well for that space. I like the straight, clean lines and neutral colors because they don't clash with anything else. Installation was quick and easy. I do wish there was some way to adjust the color temperature slightly -- with the installed LED strip instead of changeable light bulbs, you're kind of stuck with the very white/slightly blue tone, which can feel a little harsh in the evening hours. ... show more

I received this from the Amazon Vine program and am leaving my review voluntarily. Very nice looking ceiling light. Looks great in a farmhouse style home. Easy to install. Light works but is not as bright as a similar one I have already. Overpriced at $59.99 though.

The light goes in pretty easy and is bright enough to illuminate a decent amount of space. I had no problems on that front. The light itself claims to be 4000K white/daylight, but definitely feels closer to 6000k. If I had to find why, it's probably due to the plastic diffuser being ever so slightly blue in tint. It's definitely not a bad light, and I wouldn't even go to the extent of calling it false advertising or anything, but it definitely isn't equivalent to other 4000k lights I have around the house, if even slightly. Still a good light, I'll be keeping it up and using it. Especially since the wood accent compliments my natural stain floors so well. Really ties the look together. CCT accuracy or not, it definitely looks better than the ancient busted ceiling fan it replaced. ... show more

The fixture has LED strip in in like you would use in a bedroom or on a boat to illuminate. There aren't any bulbs but just a strip. It's not the brightest but it works really good in the garage over the washer and dryer. It does illuminate the area nicely. Looks really good but the plastic cover came off as soon as I opened the box so it had to be put back together. I do like how it looks in the garage and it would also look good in a smaller half bath for the amount of light it emits. Overall really nice ... show more

Right when I opened the package I could tell immediately this is a quality product. I was expecting wood veneer, but no, it's actual wood. The main assembly is steel, not plastic. It looks and feels well made. Installation was straight forward and should be easy if you've ever installed a ceiling light before. My disappointment came when I turned it on. Not as bright as I had hoped. In fact, it wasn't even quite as bright as the conventional light fixture I had installed prior with an 11W, 1100 lumen LED bulb in it. This light claims to be 1500 lumen. Color temp seems spot on at 4000k. Still, it's very nice looking and does work well, just a bit disappointed in the light output.
