A camping must have if you cook a lot of food for many people. I got so tired of those coleman mini grills and cooking for each person individually taking over 1 hour to cook for whole family. I got this and a 16 inch cast iron pan and I cook for all 4 of us at the same time. This is highly recommended. Some will say a smaller will work just as much and while that's true, a 16 inch cast iron will be very uneven in heat so the outside of the pan will be much cooler. This heats entire pan evenly for perfect cooking. Burgers and steaks were amazing this weekend.

I bought this for deep frying turkeys and steaming lobster. Setup was easy. It worked perfectly. The stand is sturdy with four legs and I like the square design. It has a large top grate suitable for big pots. The control adjusted the flame well and kept the peanut oil temperature spot on throughout the forty five minute cooking time. Other reviews mentioned that the finish turned black or took the “paint off right away. This is normal due to the heat it is exposed to and has nothing to do with performance. (Think black carbon on a metal pot used over an open flame campfire. I recommend this burner.

My self-demoted significant other bought a 100 quart stock pot. Why? Because he wanted to do a seafood boil and apparently failed to read the product description even though the size was in the item name. Anyway, found this beauty and while pricey we weren’t really in a position to complain (because apparently returning the small bathtub cosplaying as a stock pot was not an option) It’s a good sized burner, mostly because it has to support a 25 GALLON stockpot but was easy enough to figure out. I can’t speak to the quality because by the time we got it situated my boyfriend wanted to order takeout.

The paint was burning and melting while the burner was being used. The picture depicts the melted paint and the amount of ashes after the product was done being used. The paint was not heat resistant or safe.
