I bought two of these on Prime Big Deal Day sale - and I'm so glad I bought two! I was looking for standing lamps that looked nice but were somewhat unobtrusive, could match a variety of decors, weren't too expensive, and were high enough that they wouldn't feel in the way or too short for my tall ceilings. These lamps do all that, plus some! I honestly wish I'd bought a third! Pros: - Great value - I must not have correctly read the listing and did not realize the base was marble. That was a very pleasant surprise! - Nice simple appearance - they'll blend easily, and you could swap the shade for a different look in no time. The shade also properly covers a good bulb, so the light is bright but not shining in eyes, and the shade section is easily adjustable for a variety of light targeting needs. - Height - I'm 5'8" and the bottom of the shade is about the height of my eyebrows when it is parallel to the floor. I have seen so many lamps like this that are just too short. This one is tall enough to spread light well: one with a 60 watt equivalent LED bulb lights half an 18'x22' room well enough for a cozy evening, two could do the whole thing. It also doesn't look out of proportion with taller ceilings. - Easy to assemble - like less than 10 minutes each. I'd recommend assembling from the top of the pole downward so you can adjust the cable as you screw the sections together. - Bonus: great packaging - I don't love the styrofoam, but they managed to send a weighty marble base with everything else and it's all pristine. In addition, there's spare parts for the little fiddly bits that are easy to lose. Cons: - Switch/cable assembly does not go through the base - this is part of the reason it's able to be packaged and assembled so well, and I don't care much, but I didn't realize when I bought them that the cable exits the lower part of the lamp pole and does not go through the marble base. - EDIT: I unscrewed and readjusted the bottom section and the lamp is perfectly upright now. The sections are kind of easy to cross thread, which had led to it not being securely attached. I had previously said that they seemed to list a little to one side sometimes.

This Mid Century Modern//Craftsman style Bungalow Floor Lamp in Matte Black finish is Classic, yet very "on Trend," Bought as gift for son & daughter-in-law, and was happy to hear they are using it in their family room of their brand new townhouse! At first I was kind of nervous buying this, as I wasn’t sure how it would look or fit in my living room. It ended up being very aesthetically pleasing and has a solid, heavy base. One thing that old have been nice was if the lamp pole wasn’t centered but towards that back. But that is more of an individual preference for my particular need. So no points dinged for that. The ONLY real improvement I’d like is a bottom shade, as it can be a little overbearing with the bulb shining right down on you or where ever it is pointed. I would like to have it facing down on me, but have a shade to diffuse the light a little bit more. But that could just be my own preference. Overall though, great product and price!

Love this lamp. So easy to put together. Easily adjust the angle if light. Lights up the room and can be put in the corner out of the way. Thank you. Update: I bought this lamp last year in August or Sept after I moved back to Ohio from SC. I bought the electric keyboard from Amazon and needed a light over the music. Since the top is not wide enough for a puano lamp I went with this lamp. It is perfect for my needs. I only have this one lamp in my living room and it is enough. Also, since it is in the corner and out of the way it is not obtrusive. Thank you Amazon. You did it again!

I really like these lamps. I have one in every corner of my living room. Fairly easy to put together. Be aware the base is very heavy and will dent (or possibly crack/break) flooring if dropped. I think the cord is a bit short for turning on the lamp. It’s a step on switch. Where I’ve located my lamps it’s not easy to step on to turn the lamp on. Fortunately an Enbrighten smart plug has fixed that issue for me.

Several issues with assembly: there are teensy screws for the arched bit, but nowhere to screw them in. The last part of the arm closest to the base had the twisting connection not straight and actually popped out when I tried to unscrew and rescrew. Luckily, this ended up allowing me to screw it in straight...! You also have to put the lampshade together yourself. All in all assembly took about 15 min. A lot taller than I realized, probably about 6 1/2ft. Nicer than I liked but with unexpected obstacles in the way of assembly. Lets hope it stays together and is sturdy! Looks really nice

Not really sure whether I was going to like the proportions. It is a perfect size!
