Used this compressor to air up after wheeling multiple times over our recent road trip. A great feature is the pressure shut off switch so when your checking tire pressure or moving to next tire it build pressure in hose then shuts off. As soon as you clip to new valve stem starts up. ARB offers a chuck with a built in gage I might consider. The only “ding” is the ARB air chuck sticks straight out (it’s only about 2” long) so makes the air hose end kinda long so even with the valve stem lock I found that I needed to hold it. When valve stem happened to be near the 12 o’clock position I could let it hang there. Worked great whether we were 90+ degree heat of Arizona (Kaibab National Forest) and Utah (Sand Hollow State Park and Moab) or at altitude after Black Bear and Ophir Passes. Currently running 33s KO2s on my 2020 Rubicon. Took maybe 1.5 minutes to air up each tire from 15psi to 36 psi per tire. I was impressed that in hot temps it didn’t over heat. As expected the compressor did get very hot after use, so I always waited to put hose back in the case. Good quality battery clips, hose and sturdy carry case. I know there are cheaper options but I definitely recommend this kit. If you’re running 37s or bigger maybe consider the twin. ... show more

This kit efficiently and quickly inflates all 4 of my 35's from 20lbs. to 38lbs. in less than 3 minutes total. It shuts off when disconnected from the tire so it doesn't get too hot and takes up very little space. The hose reaches all 4 tires easily. Unit has had zero issues, inflates 80 psig tow vehicle tires, 35" offroad truck tires, and with the case, is convenient to pop in the track car for HPDE. Perhaps one of the best tools I own. I use it to keep my motorcycle, SxS, and truck tires inflated while traveling. It works great. It can get hot since it is mounted in the box. It got hot enough to shut off on me after airing three of my 35-11.50X18 tires up from 50psi to 70psi. Not a problem, you just need to realize that the single pump without a tank works awfully hard to move that much air. Simply put, this is the best portable compressor on the market at this price point. Sure, ARB makes a more powerful model, but that one is almost twice the price, and very much in the professional category. Having previously used a crappy $30 compressor I bought at the local auto parts store and hating pretty much everything about it, I decided to take the plunge and purchase something that could really be put through some hard use. This was just the ticket. Comes with a great protective case, attaches directly to your battery (so no concerns about blowing the fuse on your 12V accessory port), takes standard air chuck accessories like the awesome ARB605 inflater with built-in pressure gauge, and has an oh-so-cool illuminated power switch. ... show more

I purchased this ARB set to air up my two-door Jeep out on the trail. On my very first camping trip I aired down my tires to 20psi, but on my trip home this unit overheated inflating my fourth and last tire. It burned through the hose and rendered the unit useless. I like this compressor a lot. We drive on sand all the time, airing down to 18psi takes 90 seconds to get back to 40psi per tire. Plenty time to have one more beer while I fill up. The only bummer about not mounting in engine bay is the bugger get real hot. Otherwise I love this. Can bring it anywhere. I don’t have to pull my truck next to somebody to inflate.
