At first these tires worked well but after three months they started “dissolving” in the pool water. As they “dissolved” they sloughed off thousands of small rubber/plastic shards that wound up in the pool water. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars for the factory original replacement tire. Great price on really good replacement tires. The tires are so effective and so reasonably priced, I ordered another set to have them as a backup when the current tires wear out in a year or so. The tread width is perfect for regulating the height to which my Poolvergnuegen vac climbs up the pool wall. As the tread wears down the vac climes higher, sucking air at the top. My The Pool Cleaner wheel tires were slowly disintegrating (supposed to take the unit out of the pool before shocking) after 3 years. Found the OEM part at the online pool supply store I bought the unit; over $53 for a set (2 treads). Checked Amazon and found these for $13 plus a lot of recent reviews that said they were just like the originals. Took a shot and wasn’t disappointed. I was always having issues with the cleaner getting stuck on the drain covers. The offset nubs had worn down to the point where it couldn't wiggle off the covers. With the new ones it climbs right over them.

    • Perfect replacement
Our old wheels wore out. This is the second time we replaced them on our The Pool Cleaner - pebble tech gives them a beating - but once replaced - a bit of muscle to get them on but they fit perfectly - the machine works like new. Now we need replacement hosing for the machine. That's where chlorine needed in the desert heat destroys hoses. But this is the first replacement for those in 7 or 8 summers. If anyone knows which hoses work best - that would help a lot. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I recently noticed my pool vacuum was not working as well as it used to. After doing a little bit of research I found that the tires are a maintenance item. They have small wear indicators on the tires that scrub off overtime. At that point it’s time to replace them. Install was extremely easy and straight forward. My vacuum is working like new again.     • Tires falling apart quickly
I thought these were a good deal until they started falling apart after a couple of months. The rubber must be of poor quality. My old ones lasted 4 years and these lasted 3 months.

    • Way less traction than original wheels
These wheels don’t provide the traction for the vacuum to climb the walls of my pool. Had no issues climbing all the way up to the waterline with the previous OEM wheels. Don’t waste your money on these, spend a bit more to get better wheels.
