The media could not be loaded. I replaced an old 2hp pump/motor with this 3hp pump/motor. First off, I like the blue color. I had to re-pipe the water lines since the pump and motor are both smaller than the original setup. I added a coupler on the horizontal pipe leading from the top of the pump to make it easier to line up the vertical up/down pipe. On my first install attempt, even after a lot of measuring, I inadvertently left the up and down pipe at an angle. I also left the flange that screws into the pump housing off the pipe so I had to cut it to correct both of my issues. Right above the pump, you can see where I added a straight coupler. On the horizontal pipe just above that, I added a threaded union. Those to additions, corrected my initial plumbing errors. The pump itself is working great. I don't have a way of measuring flow but the water flow in my pool doesn't look much different from the previous pump. Sound wise, I believe it runs smoother than the older pump and this one is noticeably quieter. The filter basket in the pump is different than the original but also larger. I really like the crystal clear lid that lets me to easily see what is inside the basket without having to remove the lid. One issue that I did have is on the electrical. This pump comes with a pre-installed electrical cable. Codes in my area require permanent installations to be wired with conduit. I needed to replace the water tight fitting where the electrical cable goes into the electrical box. However, the thread of the original coupler that came with this pump uses a finer thread than the standard couplers found at the hardware stores. That made installation of the electrical wiring difficult. However, I got past this by slightly heating the new coupler until it was barely pliable then forced screwed it into the electrical box (without the wiring of course). Not the most professional way but it threaded all the way in and provided a good weather proof seal that is secure. I included a picture of the motor already installed. I have the motor sitting on landscaping blocks. It took me a couple of trips to the hardware store to find the combination of pavings stones that provided the exact height level, but I found them and it worked great. The included video is to show the noise level of the pump. Disregard the beeping sound though, that is a different system that I have on in the background and nothing to do with this pump. In the hot sun, I can't say whether this pump runs hot. However, from what I can tell and by just putting my hand near it, I can attest that it runs way cooler than the unit that it replaced. Obviously, the old unit was on it's last leg so not the most fair comparison, but that is the only reference point that I have. This pump/motor combination cost me less than buying just the motor alone that failed. Value for money is a definite and by registering the unit, they are currently giving an extra year for the warranty. After also shocking the pool then cleaning the pool filters, the water is crystal clear. Glad I went with this pump.

Even with a slight hiccup. I still give this product and its customer support 5 stars! Purchased early in Feb of this year, after a 15 year Old workhorse finally gave up the ghost. The energy efficiency, size and power of the motor made this the perfect replacement. It arrived quickly and installation was done in less than an hour. The pump hummed to life and began its run…..now for the hiccup, two weeks later the pump stopped working. Contacting support was easy and they responded quickly. After walking through the issue they decided to replace the pump completely. It arrived several days later install immediately out of the box and we are up and running again. It’s a fantastic pump and works amazing

This pump really worked great for me. Super quiet and powerful. The company is a big plus as well. I had an issue where my pump housing cracked over the winter and I contacted Aquastrong hoping they could guide me in replacing it. Less than a day later and a brand new pump, motor and all, is being shipped to my home, all under the 2 year warranty. I wasn't even asking about it, they made it happen. Aquastrong is my new go to company when it comes to pool equipment from now on.

Bought this pump a little while ago. Had a small issue with it but contacted the customer service and the warranty was able to replace the pump with no hassle. Received the new pump a few days after the warranty claim. I seen some reviews saying the pump was kind of loud but it’s actually pretty quiet considering some of the others I have heard. Easy to install. Seems to be pretty good pump for the price!

Had to replace my pump this season, which was also an Aquastrong pump and loved it, but this bad boy really puts in the work. What I like the most about this one is it doesn’t have timer settings for how long it runs for, my previous one would only stay on for at most 24 hours. The installation was easy because all I had to do was hook up the hoses and attach the ground wire. You can use either 1” or 1 1/2“ hoses with this pump, just know getting the 1 1/2in on the attachment was somewhat difficult. This pump is worth the money and has done great helping my pool turn from dark green to blue (of course with the help of chemicals).

This pump is purring like a kitten. Assembly was simple. (as long as you know how to glue PVC pipe) Priming was an issue for me, since I wasn’t sure of the correct water level inside the basket window. But the company worked with me back and forth until I was satisfied. They were prompt with the answers to my questions, and were patient with me. I also had to ask them about the timer, which was not only confusing to me, but apparently to many others who purchased this pump, because they had a prepared set of easy to understand instructions ready to send me. I gave the pump 4 stars because of the timer and primer confusion. If they would just include the instructions I had to ask for with the pump in the first place, it would make things so much easier. The two speeds are a nice option for great water flow, and it’s nice to have a dry area, now that I don’t have a leaking old pump anymore.

I bought this pump in 2025. HP is way above expectations. Performed extremely well for over a year. It did develop a very small crack in the housing, but customer service was very helpful (which is rare these days) & are sending out a new one ASAP. I understand issues happen, most are out of anyone's control. But, with the excellent customer service and great overall performance, I would definitely purchase this again.
