I got this pump to replace one for a small fountain that was given to me. I looked at the measurements on the product but I guess I didn't realize just how big this pump was going to be. The pump is a little bigger than a closed fist, I thought it was going to be about half that size. The pump has great power and can move a lot of water, when we first plugged it in it shot a stream of water about 12-14 inches up in the air at its highest setting. I am going to be running it at about 1/4 of its power and it is going to work for my little fountain perfectly. The suction cups on it hold well and it is actually a very quite pump for the amount of power it has. The top of the pump also has interchangeable hook ups for a variety of size hoses, the smallest looks like it is about 3/8 of an inch and it goes up to what looks like 3/4, the adapters doesn't have any marking for sizes so I am just guessing on them. I would say if you are getting this for a small fountain like I did, it is going to have more than enough power for you, if you were getting it for a bigger fountain like a Koi pond or a small yard pond/fountain it would be strong enough for that also. I can't review the Longevity of this pump as I have just started using it. The power adjustment and variety of hoses that this pump can use make it a great product for just about any fountain.

Our pump quit working in two months. We opted to let the company replace the pump instead of a refund (mistake) after going to the work of installing it, of course it wouldn't start. Following the instructions, I opened it up and found the armature shaft was in pieces. DO NOT REFUSE YOUR MONEY BACK!!!! This product has a very brittle material used To make the shaft. They did not refund the money claiming the damage shown couldn't happen in shipping. I totally agree, the box was not damaged. It Left the factory the way it was received.
