These lights work great for my salt water tank. I love how you can change the settings of the light to make it brighter longer or less. They are expensive, but durable. They also keep the salt out of them, which is very hard to do.

What is with the software downgrade? Have been using 52's and the app works well. With the 64 they removed many features. For example, there is no OFF option. When selecting the 52's, I get ALL ON or ALL OFF. With the 64's, only option is LIGHTS ON. How is that useful when the lights are already on? They did however add LIVE DEMO. What possible use could that be to the owner? They also removed the cloud option, although they falsely advertise it, you can only connect directly or through the router it is connected to. No option to connect when not near that particular router. GHL Mitras will be my next purchase. ... show more

It's taken me awhile to get to my review. This Aqua Illumination 64hd is a sweet light. Came very well packaged, but be aware that part of the reason the price is reasonable is that you don't receive any mounting hardware. I opted to hang it from the ceiling so I had to purchase an additional hms rail, as well as a bracket to connect the rail to the light and then the hanging kit. All told, probably about an extra $120 worth of hardware was needed. That being said it is very easy to get connected to the rail. I wish there was a way to keep it from spinning as it does tent to rotate bit on the rail. The user interface on the app is very intuitive if you've spent any time dealing with aquarium lighting. What I particularly like is that you are able to import others' programs. And what's even better is that you can do so directly from the AI website. Famous and well regarded aquarists from around the world upload their AI programs, along with images of their setups so you can get an idea of what you are aiming to do/keep. LPS and softies? Check. SPS dominant tank? Check. Very, very neat. And then you can just cycle through them on the app, do a quick preview, and decide for yourself. And if you want to adjust a preset, that's super easy to do as well. The FAQ section is very helpful and explains how to do everything. Overall I'm very satisfied. The light is over a 90g cube that I've just filled with water. Ultimately I'll probably go with a mixed reef, but for the short term I just threw a neon cabbage from another tank just to see how everything is going. The cabbage definitely pops under the AIs. ... show more

The full-spectrum lighting brings out stunning coral colors and supports amazing growth — my SPS and LPS corals are thriving with noticeably better polyp extension and color depth. The wireless control through the MyAI app is smooth and reliable, letting me fine-tune every channel easily. I love how customizable it is — you can create sunrise/sunset effects, moonlight cycles, and adjust intensity with precision. The PAR output is excellent, evenly distributed, and powerful enough for deep tanks. It’s also quiet and energy efficient, which is a huge plus for continuous operation.
