Built off KEEN’s traditional wider foot form, this boot offers KEEN.PROTECT soft toes and an air infused KEEN Luftcell midsole which provides unbeatable, long- lasting comfort. The EH-rated, non-marking rubber outsole offers abrasion and slip-resistance for better longevity not typically available in this style. If you have custom insoles for orthotic purposes, no problem, all KEEN Utility products have removable PU insoles for easy replacement. This dependable boot is great for heavy-duty work in construction, landscaping, welding, manufacturing, iron and road work. Good fit right out of the box. Had the similar boot San Jose before I got this pair. The San Jose’s were 2 years old and one of two boots I rotate. After 2 years the stitching on the toe top let go. These mock toes should hold up better. The Cincinnati’s are a bit more substantial in a few ways. A sole that looks like it will release dirt better. Lined for comfort. More substantial tongue. Slightly better leather. A bit heavier but not much. Both are great on walks for comfort. Loyal to the brand! Keen never lets me down. ... show more

The boots are great. Problem after wearing these for about a month my left boot the sole is slightly tilted inward. I removed the inside foot sole and it is still tilted inward on the left boot only. I will send my boots back to Keen to see what they can do. Other than that I love these boots!

I'm reviewing these boots after wearing a few times, not enough for a proper break-in and definitely not enough to assess their long-term performance. I've been impressed by their build quality and support out of the box, and they seem like they'll be a tough and durable boot. In size 9.5 Wide, these look exactly like the images in color and proportion. They look good from the side and from the front, although the top has a bit of the "clown shoe" impression that moc-toe boots are prone to having. This is clearly visible in the pictures, but it's worth mentioning since many boots convey less of this look in person than they do in pictures. A note for those shopping for street wear or fashion instead of work: They look good as general-purpose fall/winter boots, but they're clearly work boots. The "work boot" look is in fashion now, but many of the chunkier aspects of a real work boot still aren't fully compatible with the instagram-friendly look. These aren't going to look as fashionable as the "chunky boots" that folks seem to be wearing now, since they're chunky in some of the wrong ways. They're also going to last many times longer than the boots at Nordstrom that are copying this aesthetic, will look less "worn" after some light wear-and-tear and weather, and will be more useful and comfortable the whole time. There are some trade-offs in appearance in exchange for being far better, y'know, actual boots. A frequent adage with boots is "comfortable now means uncomfortable later." This refers to the support and durability that contributes to comfort over long workdays and longevity over the months. The same structure that our feet need long-term makes a boot more difficult and uncomfortable to break in. However, in my experience a boot that matches a foot fairly well out of the box may be fairly comfortable initially and still be supportive and effective at preventing fatigue over the course of a long workday once they're broken-in. These are fairly light and flexible for work boots, and the multi-layer wedge soles provide great padding and shock absorption. I've found them to be surprisingly comfortable for a few hours of wear at a time, and they feel like they will break in well and remain supportive. Overall, Keen makes good boots and I know they have good reputation for comfort and orthopedic quality. These seem to hold up that reputation so far, and they appear to be built appropriately tough as well. ... show more

Keen makes some wonderful shoes and the quality of construction in this pair is really impressive. Thick leather, a supportive sole and strong stitching seemed to promise a great shoe. However these are very heavy and definitely not for casual wear. The laces are slippery polyester which keep coming untied even when double knotted. As protective footwear for a worksite these can be excellent with a different set of laces. Fit was true to size and they held up well to 2 months of near daily use, exposure to snow, slush and ice. ... show more
