Tarp seems durable during use on a single overnight backpacking outing. Didn't use it as an overhead shelter since there was no rain. Instead it was used to keep gear from backpack off the dirt. From initial inspection grommets seem sturdy thou. The only drawback I see from this limited use is that is not very light weight. But to its defense that weekend was terribly HOT. Meaning that everything I was carrying, including my soul, felt extra heavy with the intense heat and steep terrain. I have two 10x10’s and a 13x10. Like the 13x10 a bit better. Gives me room to close and peg one end shut and still have an overhang at the entrance. Can adjust the sides for air flow easily. The tarp completes a lightweight setup. Normal rain has been no problem at all.

Light, durable, easy to roll up, compact. So much easier for one person to spread out than normal poly tarp. I set it up in back yard to test it out as an extended rainfly over a 14x10 cabin tent. Worked great. It extends out farther over the sides and covers an extended "front porch" over the entryway. It stayed in place during 20mph winds with stronger gusts. It withstood the sprinkler test, no leaks. It's expensive but worth it if you camp in the rain. I'm considering a second one to replace the poly tarp I use over the kitchen/picnic table area. ... show more

This tarp is amazing. It will withstand a LOT. I had mine out throughout the winter to block some wind and trap in some of my heat while smoking (I know I know, I need to quit.) It stood up to a lot. I experienced zero leaks. The tie offs are all extremely well sewn and made to stand up to a LOT. Unfortunately there must have been a pin hole where the sewing machine missed the seam, along the seam line. My tarp developed a tear right where that pinhole must have been, along the seam. I feared I would have issues with the 2 year warranty against defects. I have had such issues with other companies before who have similar warranties. First of all, I had a response from the company within the day I sent my email. After a very simple confirmation of defect process that was taking a picture to show the damage, they sent me a new tarp, which arrived already. The turn around time was less than a week from contact, to having a new tarp in my hands. I couldn't ask for a better experience with a tarp or with a company's customer service experience. Aqua quest stands behind their products and they are absolutely worth the money. I will not hesitate to continue to purchase their products. ... show more
