  • Fragile
Look closely at the photos of this transmission. Notice that the bottom portion is very thin on the bottom. Using in a drag build, I snapped the transmission in half just in front of the lower wheelie bar/ bumper mount on the 1st outing. I am going to try a little epoxy to strengthen the replacement case. I will also add the R Type wheelie bar mount to distribute the stress. With Traxxas redesigning their 2wd transmission for the Drag Slash, I don't know if this transmission still has a place. The cloned Team Associated slipper setup is nice and all but doesn't really make much difference that I have noticed. The 32P gear is a bit overkill in a 2wd and limits the fine tuning of the ratios. I wouldn't purchase again if I had it to do over. ... show more

  • Beautiful
These guys know what they are doing. If you have had one of the older models or the new one you know there is no substitute. One of the best upgrades for slash as far as im concerned. Keep it up guys. They even gave me express delivery for no extra charge. Ordered the 1st got it on the 3rd

  • cheap junk, save your money. truck is race truck, 1st lap a-arm bracket broke.
just cheap plastic. . compared to say rpm its a night and day difference. Was hoping plastic would be more like that but looks like its worse than the stock traxxas plastics by a longshot. Truck was a slash vxl 2wd, used strictly as a race truck at a track. Doesn't get bashed on. Very disappointing, feel robbed of $120.00. When it was working the rear differentials where just a tad to tight for my liking but that's an easy fix. Very quiet and slipper clutch had lots of adjustment to it. Just got a bad one or the durability factor isn't there for competitive racing. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for and this is well worth it.
First 1 broke staright through the A-arm pin but was replaced in the same delivery time as the first was delivered. I've been bashing the hell out of this 1 daily for about 2 months 2-3s and would have easily gone through 3-4 stock transmissions . Still top knotch from this 1 . Yes it's pricy but it's worth the price to put in and forget vs. constantly rebuilding or replacing stock 1's every other day. ... show more

  • Quick swap out but not many spur gear options
I like that you can use the cover on 32p gears downside is you can't get a lower tooth spur gear so you are limited to speed durability is great once you take it apart and fill it with white lithium grease because the differential oil was leaking out within the first 3 runs other than that send it have not broken anything in the differential except replacing the bearings. Now cost well it should be roughly 75 dollars if you ask me i have been through many traxxas stock transmissions and have rebuilt and or toggled with and the cost of a fully assembled is around 50 dollars ... show more

  • Sold me used part
Recieved my "new" transmission today, in a ziplock bag, the carton it came in was inside the bag folded in half, with the gear box, that had screw marks on it where the motor goes, the gear cover was missing, and the spur gear was all chewed up. Not a good experience from this seller so far, supposed to be a new replacement on way. ... show more

  • Great but has a weakness
Bought this as I was rebuilding my Slash VXL so I figured I would change the trans to something better than stock since I was constantly going through spur gears. Second run out and broke the piece that connects the A-arm. I wasn’t even bashing hard either. Seems that the stock trans is more reliable as I bashed that one and it’s still fine. Maybe I just received a bad one but I have a replacement coming and hopefully that one holds up way longer. ... show more
