This sponge filter by AQQA arrives in the small blue cardboard box as shown in my picture. The filter has a nice weighted base and has a hose connection in the middle of the filter and works perfectly once attached to an air pump. I usually don't get these vertical line type of sponges because if you put it close to the glass, I have had fish get stuck inside of the vertical lines as it tends to pin their fins to their bodies if they wedge themselves into it but these grooves are pretty shallow on this and shouldn't happen. This is a nice sponge filter. Well made, and easy to clean. I like the weighted base- it stays on the bottom of the tank where you need it without worrying. While the listing says it's good for up to a 20 gallon tank, this will vary a bit based on your bioload. The more fish you have, or the messier your fish are, the less capacity for the filter. My son is using this in his 50 gallon fish tank (freshwater). He's using another filter as well, but he does like this "AQQA" sponge filter. It sits on the bottom of the tank (the ground) and doesn't look bad. The bubbles that come from it are medium size. And it works - it cleans the water well.
