This was my second attempt at installing running boards on my 2015 Pathfinder. First try was with a MaxMate product MaxMate Premium Custom Fit 2013-2015 Nissan Pathfinder Side Step Running Boards Nerf Bars (2pc with Mounting Bracket Kit)(Exclude 2015 Platinum Edition) -- however, that product had 10mm "plate bolts" that would not work the size of the factory holes in my Pathy. Wasn't about to redrill so I sent back for refund (good customer service there tho). So I went with iBoard and they also have 10 mm "plate bolts" but for some reason they worked... I got these installed, they look fine. Will be interested to see how they age -- rust etc. Notes for installation. My shipment came without the 18 10mm plastic retainers -- they are key to make sure you don't accidentally drop the "plate bolts" into the frame of your truck. I didn't have time to get iBoard to send me some replacements so I fashioned some out of some thin plastic stock. Another issue I ran into was that my Pathfinder has some hydraulic lines that were routed just underneath the Passenger (right) Inner Support Bracket. I didn’t want the bracket rubbing on the hydraulic lines and eventually cause a failure, so I ground a shallow notch in the bracket to separate the two. (see photo). The last issue I encountered was that one of the double bolt plates would not fit in the proscribed holes – it required just a little grinding and it went in. None of the issues I encountered were serious in nature, however if you are not mechanically inclined I would probably not recommend attempting. Also, I’m not sure I’d have a “professional” installer attempt unless it is someone you know and trust. The simple answer to the issue I had with the MaxMate boards would be to just drill new holes once the truck is on the lift (do you really want that?) or just install the Inner Support Bracket and forget that 5 years down the road the brakes might fail because they had rubbed through. Nice running boards tho! :) I would post a picture of the finished product, but just look at the stock picture for this product. I have a brown pathy, looks just the same.

First thing first, the product is great. Solid and looks great on the car. The instructions are not descriptive enough for a beginner DIY'er. It took me close to 2.5 hrs after watching instructions on YouTube for each bracket. I wish they provided a few extra washers and nuts. The packaging is very poor. The parts and fasteners were loose in the packaging. I was missing a few washers and bolts. I made a trip to the auto store rather than requesting replacement parts.

The running boards extend out from the vehicle too far. I have purchased similar running boards for previous vehicles and I have never had this issue. It makes getting out of the vehicle more difficult and sometimes dangerous.
