I have used this brand in the past. My other one just wore out after several years of use and I found this one to replace it. It's small, just the right size for my work space. I like the feature of being to turn them completely off. It goes through sheets of paper with easy, no jamming up on the shredder part. I also like the handle on the top to pull the shredder off when you need to dump it out. A little heavy when picking the unit up but not much. It won't break your arm off when picking it up. I purchased this shredder over 3 years ago and it's still going strong. It doesn't jam and has had no issues. I do try to run some oil through the teeth once a year per suggested maintenence (put some wd40 on a piece of paper and run it through the shredder). Very satisfied with this product. It's touted for 12 pages, which it handles with no problem, but I limit it to 8 pages. It's very quiet for a shredder. The motor is where the weight is, and it has a handle that makes it easier to deal with the weight of the motor. Controls shift smoothly, with an indicator light to let you know if it's on or off. The blades for this shredder are heavy duty and the basket has held up for years. The handle on top could have been built better and it might be repairable but I simply lift off the top from the sides as the handle no longer can be gripped…I would suggest if you want the blades and this shredder to last for many years to apply oil to a piece of paper regularly and run that through. Also, periodically, run the blades in reverse to help move everything clear of the groves between blades. ... show more

Good price. It shreds plastic cards. I’ve only feed four sheets at a time because to sounds to me like it may be struggling with more. It is not a quiet machine but really does what I want.
