I installed this in my 2023 Corvette. I have a few cars and have been using the magnetic holders that clip in to the cars ac/heating vents. Though not perfect they work pretty well and I use them in all my cars. The vents in this car are not compatible with the magnetic holder. I gave this cup holder thing a try. I don't like giving up a cup holder spot in this car but it's the only real alternative I had. This holder fits well and is sturdy. My iPhone 6S (yes I know it's old but I don't beleive in updating things for the sake of updating with no improvement for my purposes) in it's case fits well. The holders phone release works well. The space for the charging cord is positioned well. The downside. The grip on the phone could be better. If the holder is not angled back to an almost flat position the phone tends to slip out of the holder. The case is not bulky at all and is very slim. Maybe a bulkier case would hold better. I solved this by wrapping a rubber band around each of the gripping sides and it works to keep the phone in place. Should you have to do this to an item you bought for this simple function-NO. This should have been taken into account in the design process. Not a difficult fix. I gave it 4 stars because overall the product is good. And I was able to solve this issue at no cost as I have no shortage of rubber bands lying around. Maybe I should have rated it a 1 or a 2 because it does not do well the 1 thing it's designed to do. But, the issue was easily fixable. That's my 2 cents worth. ... show more

So far, so good! My reason for buying a phone holder is a little goofy. My phone fits into a little niche in my car, and I'm always forgetting it and leaving it there. I do this a lot when I get home and have groceries to take in. I can go hours before I realize that I don't have my phone, missing calls and texts. My hope is that this phone holder will put my phone out where I'll see it. Beyond that, it does hold the phone securely. You adjust the bottom piece to fit tightly in your cupholder, and you can tighten the ball-and-socket that holds your phone to your preferred tightness after adjusting it to an angle you like. I had a phone holder that stuck onto the windshield but it was very bouncy--didn't like it. This one is rock solid. I'm sad to lose a cupholder but I'm hoping that the tradeoff will be worth it. ... show more

if you need a car cup phone holder, this is a great one! It’s exactly as described. it is a universal fit and tightens very nicely to the cup holder and can be tightened securely and does not move at all. You can also adjust the angle for your possibly glancing down at the phone if need be and secure that angle quite well. If you security phone holder as described. I tried another type first that used suction and it didn’t work at all, And I had to send it back. I noticed some of the others could only be placed on a horizontally flat surface, but not all cars accommodate that very well. But this cup holder design is just right! I’ve been using it for about a month or so and I highly recommend it – it’s also very reasonably priced. ... show more

I purchased this so that I could have a place to lock in my phone while being able to see and operate it close by. I did not want anything that clipped onto the dash vents or other "soft attachment" points. The unit arrived quickly and in very good, new condition. There was some minor assembly required but it was intuitive. It works great for me but any time I have a passenger, we are one cup holder short. :-) I am very pleased with this product as it holds my phone securely and allows me access with minimal distraction. I have been using this phone holder for about 10 months to hold a smallish iPhone. I was well pleased with it most of the time, and even purchased another for a family member. Problems emerged recently. The holders does not hold the phone as securely as before. I am frequently tightening the holder behind the ball joint now. Also, the two of the three expanders that fit inside the cup holder do not extend anymore. No idea how that happened because I was not moving the holder. With only one expander to work with, the holder is not seated as firmly as it once was. The other concern may be particular to some cars, but my cup holders are somewhat far back near my elbow. That means I have to turn my head and look down to see the phone. When Apple Car Play works and I can project my navigation and media apps onto the dashboard screen, I do not have to look down. But Apple Car Play does not work consistently, so at times I have had to look down at the phone, which is less safe than I would prefer. Over the years, I have tried windshield mounted holders and on-dash glued and suction holders, all of which popped off at inconvenient times. I have also tried other cupholder style phone holders that turned out to be flimsier. All in different price ranges. This one is probably one of the better holders I tried, but I do not know what the solution is here to keep from throwing these holders in the trash every six to eighteen months. I am going to try another windshield mounted one from another company, and I did just see that APPS2Car has an updated model that incorporates a cupholder and sits a bit higher. If either of these work better, I'll have to write about it. ... show more
